Jeanie Hana Drone Synth Demo (no talking)
Building upon a classic circuit by Music From Outer Space, Jeanie's Hana is a two-voice drone synthesizer featuring interlocked oscillators and ethereal tones. Like the MFOS Weird SIgnal Generator that inspired it, Hana provides three oscillators per voice, plus a filter for harmonic shaping and an array of switches for configuration.

Teenage engineering pocket operators may have been around for a few years now, but this one is my favourite. The PO-35 Speak. A vocal synthesizer and sequencer with built-in microphone for 8 different voice character sampling. It also has a built-in drum kit taken from the PO-32 Tonic. Se puede hacer un patron de drums desde cero con esta maquina?
Not sure that's possible, it's not a drum machine.
I think the J-6 is the most instantly appealing musically out of all the Roland Aira series of 'compact' modules. I've printed out the chord set list from the manual (and also the phrase list). This tells me which chords I'm using in a sequence which is helpful if I'm trying to play something else along with it. 🙂

How do you get sound out of this? What would I need to plug it into?
You plug headphones in or use a speaker. Pop it into the MIX-OUT jack (there is a pic of headphones next to the volume knob).

Hi! Thanks for the video. But it is possibile to modify the step sequencer while it is playing? I m trying, i can select the step, see the entered note, and if i click more time a new note could be entered but after some tries...what i m doing wrong? Thanks
You can change the step length and input live notes, but not sure about sure about changing notes while it's playing.

Hi, thanks for the video. I have a technical Q, do you know what it transmits via midi? because I am thinking of getting one of these to clock the sequencers on my synths to synchronize them, does it just send out clock? Regards Tim.
I have never tried this myself, but I found this, which might be helpful to you... gearspace.com/board/audio-student-engineering-production-question-zone/1333598-behringer-rd-6-cannot-get-midi-work.html According to the manual... SYNC IN - this input allows the use of an external clock and start/stop signal. SYNC OUT - this output allows the external clock and start/stop signal to be sent to other devices. Hope this helps.

Very useful. Thanks! How did you get that normal audio level? Somehow my audio levels are so low I can barely hear anything...
Thanks. I used my audio interface and adjusted the levels using audacity on my computer as the drum doesn't have volume control.
Is it possible to retune the entire sequence by an octave up or down during playback?
You can definitely do it, but not sure about during playback as I haven't tried it. I will have to check.
Iv just ordered one get it tomorrow..I figured it will complement the circuit rhythm and ko33 I have the t8 iv heard some nice stuff with just the T8 and j6 so all be fiddling about with it tomorrow

When trying to record from the arpeggiator I do not get the same result as you do. The notes forming the arp get played back in the sequencer as a chord, do you have any thoughts on why that might be?

Because it's a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics (which I recommend you to read, unlike other national anthems, it's not aggressive or about killing). Unfortunately, nothing better can come out of chopping and crushing it. If someone superficially plays with national symbols associated with the efforts and suffering of previous generations, it only underlines his superficiality. The fact that the Czech Bastl included it among the downloadable samples for people who know nothing about it and intend to use it in consumable way selfishly and superficially, just for their own whimsy and would-be originality, made it they have gone down quite for me. ruclips.net/video/RxxnpFmfgNc/видео.html (Unfortunately, there are no exact equivalents of some specifically poetic Czech words in English language)

Do you have any thoughts on how to use this in a hardware setup or in a song? All the tutorials say they are best used with other hardware. I’ve been using the nts 1 with a shimmer reverb , the kastl drum on a looper and the kastl hooked up to my organelle running a patch that kind of chops and alters incoming audio. But I feel like I am missing something. The Korg Sq1 seems like it might be good, or the ae mini modulas.
I'm afraid I can't advise how to use it with other hardware sorry as I'm quite new to this myself. You can use an audio interface with a program like audacity and record something that way then import that into your daw, I use Ableton live lite. The Arp sounds great with added reverb, the nts-1 is brilliant for this. 👍🏻
