- Drumkid is a lo-fi aleatoric (an element of chance) drum machine with MIDI. It generates rhythms using random numbers. It’s designed to be used for both live performance and recording, with controls that allow organic transitions between rhythms and fills.

Cool to see Drum Kid still getting love! I've had one a couple years now, and it's super fun. A neat use for it is as a generative sequencer for a synthesizer. You can set the midi send number for each hit to whichever note number you fancy, so you can get it playing randomized patterns/bass lines along with your drum beat
Sweet. I love mine, you can get some super weird sounds out of this thing! lol
@@SaturdayMusicMachines definitely a really fun machine. I'd love to see it in a CV version down the road
It's coming :) Next year🤞@@eponymousnull

Sorry to spam your videos, but can the beats swing or can it only play straight rhythm?
To hook up to a guitar amp- 1/8 to 1/4 jack?
Seems like a more reliable alternative to my current Rainger FX Snare Trap- great pedal but wow it malfunctions frequently
Yes, it does have swing, and you will need a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter.
This looks like a fun drum machine to play. I have ro get one. 😊
It certainly is fun, cheap too. 👍🏻
Can save the sounds, rhythms and patterns? Or do you "loose" them when you turn the machine off?
Yes, there are 36 save lots! ;-)
@@SaturdayMusicMachines Hi, thanks for the reply. Does that mean I can save up to 36 settings? Is it just a case of pressing a button or two to save? I shall have to find out a bit more information about the Drumkid, but being able to save settings is a big plus.
No problem. You can save and load up to 36 sessions.
