Absolutely great advise cleaning, sanding and prepping the parts...But ya forgot the back where you fold it over! lol ;) I didn't think of cutting the material diagonally so we can be able to stretch it... I have some lower trim on my Lincoln that has a leather texture but its just hard plastic, I want to sand the molding marks out of the parts and cover them with a nice padded vinyl to match the leather as close as I can, then all the trim that is covered in fabric I want to do in black suede, I also want to cover the dash and instrument cluster surround in black suede as well. I'm subbing, My wife and I have a big job ahead of us if we're gonna make whats in my head happen on the car!

Do you have photos once all of this was installed in the Range rover Classic?

I have a 1989 Rover. I'm having an LS3 fitted currently. I will shoot you a message, Id love to have you do the door cards, dash, and center console. It gives a enhanced look without doing too much as I feel so many company's do to where its unrecognizable to me as a land rover interior.

Will be repairing a R57 Cooper this weekend with a similar window failure, but at the top side of the glass. Thanks for the video, makes the job look less daunting, for sure.

The seam or stitch line underneath the window switches seem to be slightly crooked compared to the original one, is that something that can be touched upon or is that done once it is glued or stitched? Regardless of that it was an interesting video, thanks.

I liked the design of the dash in that particular age of Range Rover but the sound of you moving those pieces around illustrates how cheap they were. The finished article looks superb - its how the original should have been! It would be very interesting to see the same thing done to an early Rover SD1.

Beautiful work, would love this in my car. I was just thunking if it might be easier to cover the originally veneered piece of dash with the vents compared to the plastic one you showed. The vents are different on the veneered ones, they have a frame covering the edge of the veneer. You would not have to shape the leather, but just cut the holes, especially if you remove the veneer and keep the plywood only. Only the holes for the clock and the mirror adjustment are "unframed".

Very satisfying to watch this Range Rover project evolving. There’s no substitute for old fashioned knowledge and craftsmanship. Thanks for the content.

Wow great vid. Is there a module inside of the roof light switch panel? My scanner reports some errors there, which is strange cause it's never been removed. The roof module fuse is okay. I am suspecting the module to be 'defective' caused by low voltage on batteries and a faulty alternator, and this video very clearly shows how to dive in! So thank you!

Question!!!! Is there a “frame” that holds the shape around the opening for the glass?!? Mine broke off and I’m nervous.

Question I did what you said I put bunch of pillows and boxes to put pressure on the glass after I put the goop all the way around Glass sailer how long do I leave the Support in the back of the car for the stuff to dry up one day two days thanks

I had never seen another seat shrink like mine did. Now it makes sense. Im still not sure how mine ended up as stretched as it did, im assuming it was just water and heat from sitting in the sun.
