Great showing of that IOG+DL in work, also I've been playing with the manual radar controls for maybe a year or so now, and I've bound it to ALT+WASD for forward/sideways with ALT+SHIFT/CTRL for the tilt (which I could do because on wooting you can remap those keys to not be Shift or CTRL but like something random like F13 and F14, alternatively I think you can do it with some software like REWASD, just so it doesn't mess with windows hotkey). This is what 90% of ARB players are. Just a stupid FOX-3 spam, without even understanding if you are able to get kill, or not, Just launch. Hate such gameplay, on the other side it is the fastest and easiest way to grind marathon if you know how to play (at least i do it in such way)

This helped so much with the typhoon. I just got 4 kills in a row by shooting top down

Bro, how do you manage to maneuver and fully control the plane without your camera moving? How do you do it at the beginning of the video? I don't think it's with the (C) key because that allows you to see around but you can't maneuver the plane 100%...

Since I started to use DL for longer shots both in SIM and RB. I've gotten much better results, a near 90% kill ratio at 45 km ranges. Bully the shit out of players at 7k+ alts. F15 is a monster. But I struggle against micas with their high of bore launches.

This is not applicable to real life! Notching an Aim120 when it’s below you, is a lot more difficult; since the missile has a clear open sky to look at. If you fly low, the missile will have a lot more trouble depicting if you’re a plane, or just ground clutter. The missile tracks an object by measuring if the object is moving towards, or away from itself. If you fly perpendicular to the missile, at low altitude, it’ll be a lot more likely to go stupid. Furthermore, the ideal way of getting rid of an incoming missile, when you have no terrain to hide behind is to do a “split-s” maneuver and chaff every time you’re perpendicular with the missile. The best tactic however, would be to not get locked on to at all. Once the RWR alerts you of a “hard” lock or “soft” lock, you’d be better off by breaking their lock with said maneuvers.

its like an aim 9m irccm mechanic making u need to chaff and change direction, its hard to tell when the missile goes for ur chaff tho while keeping the same direction

I was from 1 maybe if lucky 2 kill average in fox 3 combat. I would stay low and be fodder for the higher altitude players in the end. Now I’m averaging 4-6 kills and a use to my team. The IOG is way more noticeable now for sure. I ended up watching this video because I was wondering what was going on recently with my notches. I guess they were just half assed on my part and I was getting away with it all this time. Thanks for the in depth explanation 👍
