Vintage Bicycle Collection - 1992 Eddy Merckx MX Leader
Просмотров 56 тыс.7 лет назад
It took over a year to gather the period correct parts to build this fantastic MX Leader, but was worth the effort. The frame came from Belgium and is a 56 X 56. I couldn't be happier with the end result. If you have ever wanted a MX Leader, I highly encourage you to do the same - What an awesome bike and piece of history. Thanks so much for watching and please share! 1992 Merckx MX Leader Camp...

E-flite UMX Timber STOL BNF, AS3X - Quick Review and First Flight!

Basic review of the UMX Timber with the maiden flight at the park. Slow flight with flaps down with and without safe mode. The gyros make this thing so easy to fly. In the video, it looks like its going a lot faster than it was. Super gentle and easy. Love it.

Vintage Bicycle Collection - 1974 Super Mondia - L'Eroica - Near Perfect!
I raced a Super Mondia as a kid in the 1960s. Then in the late 1980s I had one made to spec for me at the factory in Bern. Both were beautiful bikes and rode like silk.

Shamals were pretty heavy. I love wheels with slotted hubs. I still have a set of Dura Ace slotted hubs, lace to Ambrosio Nemesis rims. DT bladed spokes.
that's an eddy merckx corsa, not a professional tho
I have one of these in my "parts bin". (8 speed)...I also have an early 9 speed Chorus that is built with the same geometry as the 8 speed. (The later 9 speed RD were built with the same geometry as the 10 and 11 speed)
Великолепное состояние велосипеда, для такого возраста! Итальянские велосипеды всегда отличались красивым дизайном и элегантностью.
Una maravilla de llantas
Gorgeous.
Linda!
Gracias!
Show de bola meu amigo.
Still riding aluminium Shamal wheels on 2 of my bikes, Tsx Bianchi and Colnago Master Olympic
I have a 95 Bianchi TSX UL frame that I built up with 8 speed Chorus Ergo. Shamals were heavy.
@@billkallas1762 you're right they are but they look cool on a 90s Italian bike.
*Looked at a lot of options for getting my **Latest.Bike** . Great find in SAVA. Super light, nice components, really good value as it comes with many options only found in much higher priced bikes.*
Wonderful! Have you posted any pics or videos yet?!
She's a real sight to behold .
Thank you so much 👍
if there is some thing like this, how much is the price right now?
I'm really not sure. I bet it would be less expensive to find a complete group than it would be to buy individual pieces though
Top, i love Mondia
Nice MX Leader
Thank you so much Patrik
Awesome! Tiptop
Thank you!
The rear dereilleur is definetely not from 1992! It is from 1995 or 1996.
When you look at frames and parts from the day, you can see that along with ensuring functionality was at the top of their scope, so was beauty. They incorporated aesthetics so importantly along with everything else. Every line, curve, hole, cut has been carefully considered for visual beauty and flow.
Yes! Increíble right!
Beautiful! I have an 83 Merckx Beautiful bikes
Lovely ride, and well taken care of. Could looks even better with no-profile tires and saddle set perfectly level.

Eddy Merckx can be proud of your restoration. Beautiful. Love the sticker of France on the seat tube as a reminder of the great Eddy Merckx 5 wins in the Tour de France. Cheers my friend.
Thanks so much that was really nice of you! Eddy is an artist right! I love his work
Gold...wow.
Lol kinda went overboard 🤣
Las masas,que pulido!!!!Campagnolo.👍❤
One of the best bike I ever see👍
Thank you! I feel the same, Merckx is also an artist! I love his bikes, especially the MX Leader
Amico ai dimenticato i mozzi
Splendid rig, one of the ugliest stems ever put on a bike.
Its ridiculous looking at these thinking they vintage and beautiful ' But ' they truly are compared too tech now. Fashion is a weird thing be it in clothes or anything else.................
Glorious but surely they didn't do the cabling like that , looks terrible. Those lugs , chroming and seat tube are sweet as cherry pie an cream 🚲
Linda perfeita. Também tenho uma
Thanks for showing how to assemble the larger clip onto the derailleur. At first I didn't manage to assemble it as my hands were not strong enough until I took the small screw out and put a small screwdriver through this hole. In this way it was much easier to turn it anti clockwise and assemble this tricky part.
Thanks a lot man! :) Helped me to revive my old one. I also mounted one cage wrong once and ever since I always double check whether Im right or not. Thats how learning works. So super nice video and thanks for your knowledge! :) greetings from Vienna!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm so happy this helped 😁😁
I own a MX Leader 94 Deutsche Telecom replica. Originally built Campy Record 8 speed components with mavic Mach 2 tub wheelset. Recent upgrade to Record and Chorus components. It rides beautifully. Only complaint is a common one. Euro paint chipping. Finally nothing new , last10 years nothing can touch any classic bike featured up to now . And humbly nothing can come close to mine despite the touch up paint here and there. Thanks for reading.
I have one lonely Galli front brake, just like that. Don't remember where I got it. I used to keep it in reserve, when I was a messenger- to put on the front of my ordinarily brakeless work bike, if the police or company I worked for ever enforced the brake requirement. Comply without complying- technically a brake- but almost completely ineffective. Sure is pretty though.
I don't see many anymore. They've become somewhat rare
@@lookoutbelow9358 Only complete group I ever saw, even back in the day, was owned by a mechanic at the top race bike shop in Melbourne. He'd been tuning his bike, and had cut his finger on a bit of chrome that had flaked off the front derailleur. When I walked in , the owner of the shop was winding him up- " See, I told you, you should have got Campagnolo, this wouldn't have happened if..........." Funny the stuff you remember. David Jenkins-was the owner. I still have a Magistroni inch pitch chainring he gave me, oh, maybe 37 years ago.
