CB Emerge You're right! The logos are in that area. However, on the overhead panel, the switch in the very bottom right hand corner (first pic, guy has his hand on it) is a lights test switch. When pushed and held in the test position, it illuminates all lights in the cockpit. It's a way we can not only find the burnt out lights, but also double check that a unlit condition is correct and not just a light/switch issue.
You literally just turned on some lights, correct? I' pretty sure the logo lights are in that spot on the 747-800
