Why cant i stop looking at these beautiful bikes of my youth?! I sooo need to restore my lovely 1980s tourers! I should put up a vid of my wifes restored 1982 Apollo 3 oh yer!
Those pedals are Record C and not the "cage" pedals for super record. Still a nice addition. Nobody in the pro peleton used those pedals when they were introduced because by that time everyone was using Looks or Time. Except for Shaun Kelly.
I have one lonely Galli front brake, just like that. Don't remember where I got it. I used to keep it in reserve, when I was a messenger- to put on the front of my ordinarily brakeless work bike, if the police or company I worked for ever enforced the brake requirement. Comply without complying- technically a brake- but almost completely ineffective. Sure is pretty though.
@@lookoutbelow9358 Only complete group I ever saw, even back in the day, was owned by a mechanic at the top race bike shop in Melbourne. He'd been tuning his bike, and had cut his finger on a bit of chrome that had flaked off the front derailleur. When I walked in , the owner of the shop was winding him up- " See, I told you, you should have got Campagnolo, this wouldn't have happened if..........." Funny the stuff you remember. David Jenkins-was the owner. I still have a Magistroni inch pitch chainring he gave me, oh, maybe 37 years ago.
OMG! This beauty must be in storage all these years..😍😍😍😍

Fantastic bike. I really like the gold Galli components. You don't see then often.
Thank you so much! It's a lot of gold haha but I think it's nice also. The original owner built it that way and I wanted to preserve it
amazing
I have not seen Gali components in a long time.

I don't see many anymore. They've become somewhat rare
