I work full time, and my job is stressful and sucks all the life out of me. To feel creative, I need to be in a certain mindset, and have plenty of time. I don’t have either.

Bigger? Good lord, they are huge! Not sure I would want them that big, though I suppose maybe for the 3 primaries I use most of the time, it would be very convenient. I try to buy cruelty free brands these days, though, which these probably are not.

It’s interesting how people think they have the right to to tell you how to express yourself. I’ve had three years of learning watercolours using reference photos given by my teacher. It has been so valuable in terms of seeing what I like to paint and what I don’t and of course, for learning techniques and seeing what I can do ( and what I’m useless at 😂) This term, for those of us who want to, we have the option to work to themes which she will set. I’m looking forward to seeing what I’m drawn to paint and how I will interpret the theme and if I base that theme around a similar subject each week, then that’s my choice as an artist. Personally, I’ve been following you for a few months now and enjoy watching you create whatever you’re moved to create ❤

Is it 90g of paint or is the pan being ‘counted’. 90g of paint would be great. I’d also love a cover to keep the dust off. An ultramarine would be the most useful to me!

May I ask the brand and size of the brush your using here? I also hope they at very least do all the most primary colors that are used the most.

Dear Fiona, you are a wonderful person and instructor but a temptress when it comes to art supplies! Since making your acquaintance, my art supply budget has suffered greatly. If only I had known that I needed only three colors when I first began painting! Too late, so I guess I will just use and enjoy the hundreds of colors that I already own. 😄

Do you feel that the Prussian blue is better for mixing or is it your personal preference for a blue stand alone colour. I've watched a few videos and they all talk about warm or cold primary colours for mixing some giving better secondary colours. I would love these but want the best chance of good mixing colours and it gets to be quite confusing.

My professor uses 3 pans only for the instruction! Red yellow blue! As we learn we can add if we want, but we learn we don't really need others. We purchase for desire..

I am motivated to paint with the Gansai for the pans! I love that size and wish we could buy them empty . Until then ,I use them up in play and eventually I'll get my pans lol! I have also used little 5cm ceramic ramekin dishes. My husband used a hole saw to cut out holes in a board for me to place them in. Works beautifully. Wish I could paint as well as this works.😄

I have been devouring your watercolor content. I have been watching quite a few content creators on watercolor but I find your Art to be the Most appealing to me. I love your drawings and paintings. the size that you create them is also what I like. Watercolor painting is a skill I would like to play with in 2025 and I started playing and trying to get a feel for how it moves on the paper. thank you for this video l have been very unmotivated with my art and haven't drawn or painted anything for so long to the point l nearly threw everything away, l hope my passion comes back one day, l know so many have been feeling this way, let's hope 2025 brings us back to life. Love your painting it has an apt message feeling despondent but life is coming back.
