In 2021 I had what is commonly known as the Brostrom repair on my left ankle, after years of chronic ankle instability and sprains. There's always that one graduate, or maybe even a few of them, who are still crippled on the day of the ceremony. It can be something to look back on un-fondly, or fondly, depending on the person.

If you sprain a knee or ankle, taping with flexible tape is often preferable to wearing braces while you do physical activities. It's a bit more challenging if you have a tendon injury on your leg like I did but it does help to an extent.
