How I removed a granite counter that was glued down
Even though I’m not going to be reusing this granite I tried not to break it. It was glued to a piece of MDF that was screwed to the wall.
I used shims to slowly separate the two.

Breaking A Granite Counter Top… On Purpose

I needed access to behind the dishwasher and I didn’t want to remove it. Since the countertops are being replaced I decided to break it and get access to that area for some electrical work. Wear your safety glasses!
How I repainted a set of chrome Buick Rally wheels.

Freshening up a set of Buick Rally wheels by cleaning them with 0000 steel wool. The old black paint was in pretty good condition so I just scuffed it with the steel wool. I taped off the hoop and spray it semi gloss black by Duplicolor. Using a lint free cloth and some brake cleaner, I cleaned off the chrome spokes. Makes it much faster than trying to tape everything up. And they turned out ...
Whirlpool Bottom Freezer Frozen Shut - Will Not Open
Просмотров 8 тыс.11 месяцев назад
This is my Whirlpool French door bottom freezer refrigerator. The freezer door will not slide open. It’s not frozen around the seal. I found that there was water pooling in the bottom that froze the drawer in place. There is a drain for this condensation but it gets clogged over time and overflows into the bottom of the freezer. In the video I show the drain and how to remove and clean it out.
Replacing a broken toilet flange in a cement floor

Replacing a broken toilet flange in a cement floor. Also added a spacer so the new flange sits at the finished floor height.
no primer?
Thank you! I just had the same issue with the defrost pipe and had to unplug/defrost the freezer for 48 hours before my roommate was able to yank open the freezer drawer. While we were defrosting, we wedged open the freezer drawer as much as we could with little blocks to let room temperature air in and also opened the drink drawer above the freezer. Who knows how long it would've taken otherwise...
Glad it helped!!!
why did you use primer before glue?
Outstanding tutorial! Do it right the 1st time and never go back. My Dad's wise advice over 60 years ago. The homeowner before me simply put a wax ring down on a concrete/tile floor and then siliconed the toilet to the tile on a $600k house!!!! How frustrating on at least three levels!
Gloves 🧤 sir
Great job my man😀
Nice job
Great video, what kind of light are you using? I can see it propped up on the side.
It’s an led work light from harbor freight www.harborfreight.com/500-lumen-led-rechargeable-magnetic-handheld-foldable-slim-bar-work-light-59536.html
That's why you shouldn't use that cheap plastic vinyl in your bathroom floor
This floor is actually ceramic tile. Looks like wood.
I would’ve used a multi tool
They make repair rings that go right on the broken flange,if you don't want to replace the the old one.
Which glue you used?
Universal type good for PVC
Thank you! Now to find someone to do this...
You can unplug for a day or two and it should defrost enough to open.
Let this guy get his own gloves he should know better he must not be a real plumber NASTY
Correct. I am not a plumber. Not that it’s any different but it was my house/toilet. There’s nothing caustic… just washed my hands after.
Very easy
people do the stupidest things
Did you change that outdated gate valve angle stop and rubber supply line too?
Good job keep clean
Might finally have that project I gotta give in and buy the sawzall
Why no purple primer for the seal??? I never heard of a single applied glue for PVC...
Nice work!
Thanks for the video. Working on this job now and needed a good idea.
My plumber has set up ptrap here is it correct elbove would be better
DO NOT used Tapcons. They rust and or break. Use stainless hardware!
I just used JB Weld. It worked like a charm.
All of you "Do It Yourself Video Guys" should wear gloves. Other than that, Nice Repair.
Do you have to glue it in if it slides into the pipe
Are we supposed to glue it in????
I did this for 4 hours and it worked! Thank you!!!!
Glad to hear that! Thank you for the feedback
You wronwater will leak between ffleng
Good job..
Mine can't be glued- it's CAST IRON- and I used a screw in flange with rubber around it-- and it will NOT go flat- flush to the floor.. GUess I need to cut it out.. I can't drill into concrete.. NOT able to.. Barely was able to do the tank.. etc.. when I installed a bidet later.
Good video! Thank you…
What SIZES ARE THE DRILL BIT & TAPCONS ?? You make it look easier than I'm finding it ?
IIRC it was 1/4” tap cons. 2 1/2” long. Bit size was 3/16”. When you buy the tap cons the package will say what size drill bit. Might even include the bit
Good video, but you animal! no primer? Heathen! Lol. But really. Why not use primer on the pvc?
I didn’t have any. But there’s a can in my plumbing bag of tricks now. :)
@@69-MinuteFix I was just busting your kahonays. Lol
@@doncox2146 lol I know. I can take it thought. Everyone has been busting them for primer and no gloves… makes for good entertainment! The number of views has blown me away.
I didn’t use it because I didn’t have any. And the pipe is in cement. It’s not moving. And the flange is also screwed down. It’s not moving. Also there are some studies that show no significant added strength when primer is used. Check the conclusion on this study www.plumbingsupply.com/the-great-pvc-primer-debate.html
My landlord wants to renovict me so I just used a bunch of rubber glue 4 or 5 months lasting.
finger licking good yum yum yum yum!
Thank you for your help!
You’re welcome!!
Thank you, sir.
What size drill bit ?
5/32 I believe. When you buy the tapcon screws the package will tell you what size bit is needed.
@@69-MinuteFix thanks so much!
You mean concrete floor
Ryobi? Ewwwwwwwwwww
I haven’t had any issues. Batteries still hold a good charge after a couple years. Sinks a 4” screw with ease. The reciprocating saw works great as does the oscillating tool. I’d buy it again.
Put a towel in the hole to catch the plastic pieces
Next time use a 3 inch hole saw with a drill
what is 69 minute repairs I looked it up online I couldn't find anything
what is that brown colored compound you used on the cement over the cement ... on which the flange sits? Can i use that to cover up rotted wood? if not what would you suggest? Its hard to get in there and replace the wood so i am thinking of using a cement compoud that will allow me to drill holes and fix the flange on... Thoughts?
It’s sanded grout. I don’t think it would make a good filler. Dries like cement and would crack on a wood floor I bet.
U don't need clue... SMH ☹️
Primal, Primer primer , You left out a apart
Howdy CS444, ... Thanks Great instructional VIDEO my psuedo Son-In-Law is getting ready to Tackle a similar JOB & This might be a great PREPARATORY Video to see the OPTIONS ... I especially <like> the SPACER used to bring the TOILET up to floor Level COOP the WiSeNhEiMeR from Richmond, INDIANA ...
Yeah I use my bare hands when taking out an old flange too! 😳😂 Nice work though...
