Hi Marisa, I have followed you for years, since shortly after I started my wavy/curly journey in 2018. I went through a rut recently as I grew my hair out super long (I kept it trimmed with the butterfly cut thanks to your video!) and eventually it became too much work to properly style, never mind diffuse! I recently had another curly cut and chopped loads off and have really enjoyed getting back into experimenting with products, styling and diffusing. I’ve tried all the things over the years - hover diffusing/pixie diffusing/cold shot etc. But nothing really clicked for me. This video came at just the right time. It felt very freeing and scary to use medium heat (!) even for a bit as well as scrunching out the crunch while it was still damp. But it has been a revelation! I have fine but high density waves/curls which are easily weighed down and I didn’t realise how much breaking the cast and drying to 100% would increase the bounce, volume and shine of my hair. Starting with medium heat also cut the drying time as you say which makes it more doable. I used to hate diffusing with a passion because it was so time consuming and the results were disappointing. Now I actually enjoy it because it’s not too long and it’s so rewarding to like how it looks when it’s done. I just finished diffusing again using your tips and loved how my hair looked so much I had to come back and comment on this video, everyone should try this method! Especially if your hair is pretty healthy and easily weighed down - 11/10!!! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️

I have the original brush. Still getting used to it. Your tip of twisting sections just before you brush curl them will help. I haven't done that before. My hair is a combination of curly and wavy. It does look better when I get a good trim regularly. My hair grows so fast that I have to get 1" trims. But, I do use different stying products than you do. I've been trying different ones and finally discovered an amazing set for my hair.

I can see a difference, but it’s not a huge difference. The volume looks better at the crown.

curious...You mentioned that the top of your hair reacts different to the brush than the rest of your hair. Is the top of your hair finer than the rest? Mine is and I don't like the brush for the finer part of my hair

Your curls are beautiful and I love your natural hair color! Two quick questions about the Curlsmith strong hold hairspray. If you would have used it in this tutorial, instead of the one you choose, would you have also used it on wet hair? How do you refresh on later days after having used the Curlsmith hairspray? I’m new to the curly hair journey and I’m struggling with the refresh days especially when I’ve used this hairspray. Thanks!

This happened to me in 2020. My hair was so dark and silky, when the year before it was my usual light blonde and very coarse.

I think the new brush gives you more volume. I am waiting for a brown one. I don't care for the blue.

I'm going to start cutting my own curly hair too. I feel like hairdresser's most of the time just wanna chop your hair off short. They don't understand if you cut off an an inch it looks like you cut off at least two. It takes so much longer to grow out curly hair because it doesn't look as long as straight hair. Blunt cutting is the best for my type of hair and you have the exact same type as me 😊

One side of my curly hair is stringy and flat but the other side is full of defined beautiful curls and volume😭

I want to Thank You a Million times👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for doing this video because not many of us can afford the brushes featured in this video and feel lost not knowing which one to buy if we could. I personally feel like you have more shrinkage + volume with the New brush Vs. the Original brush where your curls look defined, but loose and more elongated as well.😊
