      OCC 246 grad and current 2L. You can attend OCS after or before your first year of law school (if you have been accepted to a law school) under a PLC Law contract. After OCS you commission, go back to law school, and attend TBS after you graduate law school and pass the bar. All the while gaining time in grade.

    U.S. AIR FORCE is not a real military branch, no b.s., but the truth. They talk about being a warrior when they aren't. If joining the military for the benefits, money, education, etc., then just join the AIR FORCE, majority of men and women in the AIR FORCE are not a warrior but a civilian on steriods of the benefits of the military which is the U.S. AIR FORCE.

    When I went through in Carlie Co 2006, we got on average about 4-5 hours of sleep per night. The number 1 reason for that were essays. But, back then a candidate could be assigned up to two essays per day for any reason. They were always due at 0500 the next day, they must be exactly 300 words (no more and no less), only words of four letter or more actually counted, and each word needed to be underlined and counted. The essays were always in pen so if you messed up a single word you had to rewrite the whole page. God help you if you didn’t do your essay because the Sgt Instructors always remembered and would come looking for missed essays. Often they would look for the missing essay in your footlocker and wall locker, and usually your rack mate’s too.

    • @MrJoshHodge
      @MrJoshHodge 2 месяца назад

      I don’t know if it is “hard” to get accepted… however it is hard to get yourself to a point, physically, to have a shot at getting accepted. Like I have stated, if you have a 280+ pft with good letters of recommendation and decent grades, I do not think it is difficult at all… but the process of getting to those numbers can be difficult…

    Thank you for this post. Question: Is there a stage (ex., last 4 weeks, last 2 weeks, etc.) where you can be reasonably assured "you are going to make it"? Granted, you can get the boot and sent home in the last days before Graduation, but if you can say, when is there the point where candidates pretty much can safely say "I got this"....(if that point exists).

    • @MrJoshHodge
      @MrJoshHodge 3 месяца назад

      @@Hatchet-wy3vn that’s a good question. Depends on your performance. If you are doing well by week 5, I think you can say you have it down. I just went to PLC juniors. In terms of sleep the worst bit was during SULE week. I had firewatch the previous 3 nights in a row so I was already pretty tired, Then we get to the bivouac site and our PLT SGT assigned firewatch himself instead of letting the scribe do it so I got firewatch again, but it was from 23-00 so i got fucked again. I got like 3 hours of sleep that night because they made us wakeup at 0345 to be ready for the 4 mile hike. I was deadass falling asleep while hiking the entire time. Then we did SULE in the afternoon and everytime i posted security i was snoozing lmfao.

    There is the potential at OCS to challenge you, physically and mentally. I graduated in the 34th OCC in 1963. The physical demands may be more rigorous now but I believe like Pogo, you are your own worst enemy. You have to just do what you are directed to do and don't doubt yourself. That is the lesson of combat: just do what needs to be done, without thinking about it.

    Great video, I’ll just update as someone who graduated from PLC Seniors this summer. There was only 1 PFT in our 6 week course at the beginning with a 235 minimum to remain in the program. Most of the difficulty came with overall fatigue and the forge, so if you can train rucking or walking under load that’d be my recommendation. We didn’t have many PT sessions and they weren’t very difficult, so your advice on fartleks didn’t apply to our class at least. Our class didn’t do the fartlek course outside of Montford point, but being good at running and pull-ups is still a great idea. If you don’t lose your cool or get injured OCS will be a good experience.
