As a veteran I ALWAYS tell young men if they are thinking about joining, to join. You only have a short timeframe within your life to experience it and it's a positive life experience that will change you. Once you miss out, you cant go back and join.
My thoughts also: As I look back, I'm reminded of what the late Christopher Hitchens had to say: " A man's life is incomplete without experiencing Love, Poverty and War".
Joshua, when I clicked on this video I didn't expect to be pleasantly surprised. And yet I was. Very mature of you to put this out there -- many military influencers don't. As someone who wants to join the military, I found your injection of reality refreshing and respectful (both of future recruits and the Corps itself). Semper Fi Marine
Bro im gonna join this year bc our country does deserve good honorable people like us to protect.. aside from that the members of the military are amongst the highest quality in our country and they deserve to be backed up and have the support of hard workers like us… wish you luck on your journey, bro
Benefits are very important to most military members. I have often wondered how many would join if they truly believed or where assured they would be involved in combat. Numbers would likely nosedive. Thank you..I appreciate your perspective.
I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966 when the draft still existed. I wasn't particularly supportive of the war du jour, but served never the less. The Corps was my choice, but still ask myself: Would I have done it without the draft hanging over my head? Glad to see that our Corps is still manned by outstanding Citizen Marines such as yourself. Semper Fi Lieutenant!

Now that a majority of you young people will never have to experience war and enlistment numbers are down....🤡
Bad advice, bad recommendations of you.

You did not mention an invaluable benefit of serving in the Corps. Lifetime membership in the world's greatest brotherhood.

I know this is what I want. I’m shipping on an 18x contract soon.
Good luck to you!
Research MARSOC for the Marines. Every branch has Special Operations, that’s where you really separate yourself from the rest. Best of luck to you 🇺🇸
What’s a solid running program to prepare myself for the marines?
See my video on physical prep for OCS. But 12-15 miles per week is good
What makes the grass grow?!!!
