My question is: I have two years of work experience in a dental clinic in Germany as a assistant. Hey my friend unfortunately they stopped this route. You now need to be a registered hygienist or therapist in your country of practice first before converting here in UK. Hey really appreciate the honest video. I think the stigma around money does need to be removed. A lot of people working for private companies will not talk about salary to each other as it is a classed as a 'taboo'. This only really works for the company since they can pay someone 100k, and another person doing the same role 50k. This has got me wondering if you considered the maths since money is one of the primary motivators. Using the lowest figures possible Accountant take home pay 25k per year 25k x 6 (as it seems you are on a 6 course) = 150k Tuition fees, plus accommodation and travel = 10k 10 x 6 = 60k Grand total = 210k after 6 years Earnings after qualifying, take home pay, lets say 50k It will take you 4 years just to break even (not taking into consideration the salary you would take home in those 4 years if you continued working as an accountant) Did you not consider finance or healthcare IT. My brother works as a solution architect in IT and takes home £750 a day

      Hey, great comment, I used to work as a national account manager on 6 figures myself in some roles, mostly however i was averaging around 50-65k a year. So who is gonna be recruiting the people coming thru the provisional license pathway? Is it gonna be any dentist that is permanently registered with the GDC or would there be like a certain criteria that only dentist with a particular years of experience will be allowed to recruit people thru the provisional license route? And also will the people be recruited into the NHS only or the private practice too?

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT 27 дней назад

      Hey there, great question and when the GDC release their guidelines on recruitment, I'll do an update. As for now when dentists have their first year of work in the UK, they need to do approximately one year with a mentor, like a foundation year. So I would assume it would follow the same kind of journey and you'd be able to do private+NHS if that's the case. As for who can recruit, I'm assuming it needs to be from dentists with a certain number of years and regulated by their regions

      Hey there. You'd have to likely start again as overseas qualifications are not usually accepted in the UK. great video again👌🏽 thank you for sharing these valuable information i have a question about the process do you think they will prioritize dentists who have already started the ore process? i was just curious whether to send my documents for gdc now or wait till they officially anounce the provisional registration route?

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT Месяц назад

      Hey thanks for getting in touch. For now they're being so quiet about the intricate details that I would be shooting in the dark if I suggested what would be a better idea. However, it would be wise to start registration with the GDC as that usually takes some time and can be problematic. People have told me that they find fault with documents a lot of the time so it's better to at least get the registration done, then there's no real rush to immediately apply for ORE. My advice is to just register and go through the process, hopefully by the time you're all set up, the provisional license route will be ready :)

      @@MagaliEsquivel-uk4pv Hi there, typically it takes 2-3 years because of the backlog of people trying to take the exam, and that's all assuming you pass first time. It's getting better as they are slowly adding more seats to allow more people to sit the exam. But at the end of the day, it is worth it as Dentistry in the UK is a great career choice

      Hey there, unfortunately you'll have to do the ORE. If however, you do apply for the Provisional license when they finally let applicants do so, then you'll be able to come without ORE temporarily until you pass it. So you'll at least earn money and experience
