      Hey my friend glad you're enjoying the content. From a friend of mine, he recommends following all the usual steps which people have posted about. Like using a VPN, certain internet browsers, doing everything on time, even having other people try for you. Unfortunately, the ORE is oversubscribed and although there has recently been an increase in number of seats per allocation, it's still way under what this country needs! There was a statistic recently that it's easier to get Taylor Swift concert tickets than to get a seat on ORE 1!!! But good luck and keep me posted. You can always message me directly on my Instagram account :)

    hello dr
    for first contract after completeing ORE what do u reccommend, short contracts like 2 years just enough to cover plve period or long contracts like 5 years which is more stable. what do u recommend.?
    and second Q if u don't mind
    what about welcome bonus of the new dentist in the practice , how much is it ?
    thank u so far

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT  9 дней назад

      Shorter. Cover your pvle then negotiate a stronger higher paying contract later. As for second question, all depends on location. If not so popular location, then usually there might be a welcome bonus

    Exactly the info I need
    Just completed the ORE, waiting for the GDC number.
    Currently having interviews for PLVE with practices and I’ve been looking for this.
    What is your opinion on Scotland? From what I’ve read, they don’t use UDAs but NHS payment split (50/50 from one of the practices I was interviewed)
    Any idea what that’s like?

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hello my friend, thanks for the awesome feedback! I've heard great things about Scotland but have to research more about it myself. Generally, Scottish rules will favour NHS dentists, but I've heard you need to do a short exam to practice in Scotland. Apparently it's extremely easy and just more of a formality than anything. The fact you've passed the ORE means you're pretty much able to apply there. Have you called places like: rodericks, mydentist or zest? Even if you won't work with them, they'll give you a great idea on things and I'd recommend you do that as soon as possible. Otherwise, they're awesome for finding work especially for PLVE. Feel free to shoot me a message on Instagram @the_stu_dent ... Keep in touch and good luck!

    Do you have anything related to the DCP dental therapist career pay rates and finding a job ?
    Thanks in advance

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT  5 месяцев назад

      Sorry for the late reply, unfortunately I don't have any information on that as I am really trying to get as much as I can on a career that barely gives us much in the first place haha. If I come across anything, I will be sure to help. If you head over to Protrusive Guidance App and sign up for free, you can ask some of the community members there, they would love to help and probably have some therapists there that would be a lot better to speak with than me on this topic. Sorry I can't help on this one, but always here if you need anything else :)

    Hello,
    I have graduated from Kiev Medical University in Ukraine (English program).
    I am planning to move to the UK.
    My question is: I have two years of work experience in a dental clinic in Germany as a assistant. Can I find a job as a dental hygienist or dental therapist in the UK until I register my documents and complete the evaluation process there?
    Will they accept to give me a job?

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT  2 месяца назад

      Hey my friend unfortunately they stopped this route. You now need to be a registered hygienist or therapist in your country of practice first before converting here in UK. You will only be able to take the ORE first then you'll be able to apply as a dentist. Maybe some other work would be fine but not in dentistry specifically

    Can general dentist perform ortho treatment with any courses or diploma.wats the route for performing ortho treatments

    • @the_stu_DENT
      @the_stu_DENT  4 месяца назад

      Speciality training is required as you're not going to get any work otherwise if you don't have a specialism for ortho as people just won't come to you. That's why people offer Invisalign and other such products instead as they can go on courses and do this as part of general dentistry
