Why Electric Cars Can't Replace Combustion Engines
I think we fail to understand the MECHANIC IS A DOCTOR . Who is underpaid in a capitalistic environment. Live in a society where science is undervalued.
Simple: Mobile Mechanic is an idiot!!
$189k!?
Sounds like I need to shop there.
Sorry brother you dealing with stupid people Nissan transmission are just cvt to this day
When is a big job like transmission chance you’ll should ask the customer at least from 30 to 50% down payment other wise you don’t star the job..
Then there is the other side of the coin nobody is mentioning! When shady mechanics install extra shit without approval or talking to the customer first and then when you come to pick up your vehicle and its x2-x3 times the quoted price and then surprised that your upset and will hold your vehicle hostage!
Start charging half up front, if this has happened with two other cars its time to change something
When the tranny cost more than the car Smh cvt 🗑️
Don't just blame the customers. The costs of repairs and spare parts are often too much for the customers. Blame the car companies for producing lousy cars.
The more complicated they make cars, the more problems we will have. Having to program a tranny with software only a dealership has is b.s. The manufacturers are making us dependent on the dealerships for service. I prefer my local mechanic or myself for msintenance. Who wants to spend $200 for an oil change?
Hello do you still have vehicles preferably an SUV I'm looking for one I'll pay cash? Thank you.
Get a min of 50% deposit
Customer may be in the hospital - never know what happened, but I see the mechanic's problem either way.
Now why did the fuse blow? CVT transmissions are notorious for needing to be replaced. Nissan warranty is 150k or 10 years.
I appreciate you sharing this post, because you are the first to give me any kind of real insight as to what causes this. I gotta tell you. My BMW has been doing the same thing. The first time this happened, the car was still under warranty (which covered things like this) and I took to the dealer shop, whom I had to fight to get them to honor the warranty work. They did some fluid changes on the torque converter and transmission in the car, but it didn’t fix the issue. I told them again, but they refused to re-service the car (which at the time was still under the warranty). This is issue still occurs today in my BMW, and turns the check engine light on occasionally. While this car was in service, the check engine light came on for them too, which they claimed was an oxygen sensor (that I had to pay for). And yes, I’m aware of what is said about BMWs, but keep in mind, I got this car because I work for a BMW store (same on I bought the car from) and I urgently needed to replace my old car.
I worked at as a manager of a transmission shop ae had a pile of cars we would call broke dick mountain due to all the folks who authorized the repair then never came back
Damn bro. I would love to have someone care for my car like that. Honest. Clean. People should be more responsible
You guys take too long and cost too much
Companies realized years ago if you keep making stuff that lasts they'll be out of business😂😂
HER....
I love the fact that you can fix a car at your workplace as a mechanic. As a plumber you have to go to people's houses and plumbing clients can be weird af
Okay this is what I don't understand with people same thing with a lot of cars if it's not from the rust belt and it's completely pristine underneath bodies in good shape it totally makes sense to put 5 g into it compared to going out and buying another vehicle! You can't even go out and buy a new Kia for a good affordable price anymore I don't know what it is with these people that don't want to put a little bit of money into their vehicle it's really dumb!
Plastic oil pan, plastic intake, plastic engine cover, plastic body panels its all cheap plastic.
I understand all this, as my son is a mobile mechanic and has had people drive off the moment he got their car fixed at the side of the road-without paying! There is little he can do about it sadly. However, I have had the experience of taking a vehicle to a have a bodywork repair and paid a hefty deposit, only for the garage to write off my vehicle and refuse to either repair it or recompense me and was physically threatened to boot when I confronted them. I have had to resort to legal and finally Court action to recover my costs. And yes, it was allegedly a "good" garage with 5* Google reviews.
Somehow i dont feel for bad for them. I wonder how many they have scammed themselves.
Boo hoo crooks
This is why you have them sign papers so you can file claims.
I think someone skipped the safety manual to work on a high voltage battery 🙈. Please, don't take this video as an example of that!
Sounds like you need money upfront
It's time to start charging half up front, or full payment up front and you'll get a 25% rebate if you actually pick up the vehicle... people won't leave shit if they already paid for it.
I have to wait for week just to get an oil change with the best mechanic I have ever had.👍🏻 There are lots of different types of businesses that get ripped off like that, just sayin’. Lots of scammers and flaky people out there.
Quit crying
That and they are ridiculously high priced
189k on that window
Most all car dealerships are rip offs. Even they're asking prices for cars are a rip off. They are literally making thousands and thousands of dollars up every car they sell.
I want to do my MRMA transmission find this is the same family I believe will this help me get a good idea? Also do you know where I’d be able to get any info at all on the MRMA I can’t find any documents or anything. Thanks!
My mechanic has had exactly this happen so many times. Terrible people would do this to a business owner
Yeah great excuse for your stolen car laundering fraud.
Holy mother of god, don't vampire tap high voltage DC.
What if you only did work on cars you could buy if needed, in case the customer bails. Say you plan to do $2000 work on one but the car is only worth $1000. Probably not a good idea.
Sell it for 4 k easy 😂
Anyone else catch how he said he would rather have a Honda civic, but those have a CVT too.
No please don't use vampire taps on high voltage connections jesus christ
This is a result of dealership charging too much for maintenance. Engineering and installing parts in awkward places leading to a shortage of qualified and trained independent mechanics working on them. If you are inexperienced with a particular vehicle, lack training and proper scan tools this will happen easily to any mechanic. On these sophisticated vehicles, a scan tool should be used to look at temp levels , pressures and other important data that will tell you exactly what going on with the car. A lot of these mobile mechanics need the labor and take on jobs that they are not trained for. Without proper training it takes much longer to properly fix a vehicle. The point of being mobile is to be in and out and get paid. Moral of the story, you have to make them prove that they are experienced and qualified to work on your vehicle.
I had a wire get chewed through on my Honda and the first place I took it wanted to swap the transmission, took it to the dealer and they repaired the wire and we were good!
Secure a cc before working !!
Sounds like u can get stuck especially with no title but if the law allows u to resell to someone who gets a salvage or what ever title then u can sell cars cheap and make good profit too.having the space to store cars helps too but I’d hate to loose my car like that.
Advertise those cars for sale. They will sell.
Well.....the buyers trust the car lot and get pissed at the mechanic for fixing the lemon the car lot sold them.
