On this channel we try to educate others about the offroad trails we have run by documenting the many trail runs and adventures in our 2019 JL 2 Door Rubicon and 2014 JKU Rubicon. The whole family has a mix of Jeeps and will be in the videos from time to time. It is truly a great way to get out and enjoy the outdoors together.
I come from a family of gear heads and when not wheeling you can find me working in the shop.

Bronco Buster - Vernal Rock Rally
Bronco Buster at the Vernal Rock Rally in Vernal, Utah.
This was a great run with family and friends. Each year at the end of the Vernal Rock Rally the Dirty Adventure Crew hosts a run through the Bronco Buster trail. This was our first time running it and it did not disappoint.

Anderson Creek - Vernal Rock Rally 2024 - Utah This was the second trail we ran at the 2024 Vernal Rock Rally in Vernal, Utah. During the run we would travel to over 10,000 feet and enter what seemed like a totally different world compared to Vernal below. Definetly not made for wide wheelbase vehicles as some of the trail winds between trees with little room to squeeze through. My JKU is about...

Moonshine Arch - 2024 Vernal Rock Rally - Utah This was our first year at the Vernal Rock Rally and for the first day we ran Moonshine Arch Trail. This is an easy trail that winds through the desert and ending at Moonshine Arch. You can also access the arch by driving on the highway and exiting at the trailhead. Overall this is an easy trail and a good start for the rally.

Secret Pass Trail and the Narrows - Arizona
So glad I did this trail. I'll take a pass during EJS though.
@@danielcrescenzo354 It is one of my favorite trails. It makes it less crowded with the permits. Even during EJS.
@@DirtyChuckwalla I’m sure, but what I liked most about it when I went was that it was me, my buddy, and no one else. We even got campsite 4.
Good video. A lot of varied terrain and challenges along the trail. Looks like a lot of fun.
@@jimkidd53 Thanks for checking it out. It is a great trail that has something to challenge everyone.
so cute 😍
Cruises
Where is this place?
Imogene Pass in Colorado
Very cool trails...only a little sketch in that one loose rock area but with spotters it's no big deal.
Definitely a good one! Thanks for checking it out.
Wow!❤
That looks like an awesome route. Do you have any .gpx files of this route (or name of the trails you took to get to Glade Park)? The area south of Colorado National Monument is a maze of trails.
It is a good route. We ran this as part of the Rock Junction event. I will have to look to see if I captured the route. It started on DS Road to Triangle Road but from there I believe it was Ryan Creek Road.
@@DirtyChuckwalla Thanks, I'll revisit Gaia and see if I can piece it together.
Is this doable without airing down tires? I have an FJ cruiser and want to try it but don't own an air compressor yet
Definitely is. Just a bit more comfortable with them aired down.
@@DirtyChuckwalla okay cool I might try it and just be extra slow and careful
Are you usually in 4 Hi or 4lo for something like this?
Mostly 4-Low. Especially on the rocks.
No locker challenge or....? 8 minutes seems like it would've crawled it just fine had then been on?
It was. My rear locker was not working. Have to replace a wire so the trails were done with just the front locker working.
Awesome!! One of my bucket list trails for sure!
Definitely 💯
I really need to get out to Moab! I wish I lived on the western slope instead of the front range.
It is an awesome place. Definitely a little closer here on the western slope. Thanks for checking it out.
Can’t wait to do this one!!!
It is a good one!
That's cool
Definitely a fun obstacle.
Nice! We did the trail a year ago this month, great experience! Hope to get back to Moab in February.
Hard to beat anything in Moab.
would a stock nissan armada be able to do this trail?
I would think so. Trails Offroad rates it a 3. It is mostly just a dirt road.
I would love to see some GPS coordinates so I can just copy and paste into google earth to get a feeling of where you are.
Trails Offroad has some great information on Chicken Corners. I use them and Gaia GPS when mapping trails. This trail is in Moab, Utah and the trailhead is located (38.4821340, -109.6246994).
Nice video. Simple and well done.
Thank you.
Could you provide direction. Looks amazing love to visit Kingman area
Thanks for checking it out. We ran it from east to west.
Thanks for the great video!
Thank you for checking it out. The Nelson Loop is one of my favorites.
Damn close to a 10 hr drive to get there guess I wont be going there anytime soon !
Definitely worth the drive time. There are a lot of trails in the San Juan Mountains.
Well yes I used to hunt Bear there but I am on the EASTERN plains so kinda doing the WYO COLO Border thing now ! I haven't found many active wheelers out here on the plains. So driving that far for a SOLO well just not a good idea to me ! Nice VID @@DirtyChuckwalla
This is south to north, starting point is T60 road in Telluride that goes past the airport?
That is correct. T60 road.
Hello! Thank you for the video! Can you tell me the font on the first car that says "DIRTY CHUCKWALLA"?
I believe it is Helvetica bold. It should be close to what Jeep uses.
@@DirtyChuckwalla Oh, thank you for your quick response! I'll be rooting for you. Thank you!
Bzzackwards because it's mostly down rather than up?
Definitely 💯
im def hitting this trail when i go to moab. those reverse sections are like nothing ive done
Definitely one of my favorites!
Thank you for not ruining a nice Video with Music!!!
I try not to. Just a little bit is more than enough for me.
Absolutely more than enough. I come on here to watch wheeling not music videos 😀
Wauuu.. nice video
Thanks! That is a great trail.
Good stuff guys haven’t been to grand junction in years have family in delta nice scenic trail 👍👍
It is a good one. We will have to explore more of that area.
Thanks for posting this- I’ll be excited to make my Troopy up there next summer to camp. Hopefully I can find a good spot along the road. I haven’t check on dispersed camping, but I will before I head up there
We saw a few great spots along that road.
Great spot but my goodness does it have the worst fly problem up at desert pass campground! I’m an avid camper that has dealt with plenty of bugs but as soon as the sun comes up in the morning, it sounds like a beehive with the millions of flies! 🤢
That would not be good. I have never camped in that area.
Nice video, I was leading this trail!
Thanks for leading the way! It is definitely a fun trail!
Love the video :) What's the offical date you went up? I'm plannning for next year.
This was June 18th. By July 4th it was completely open.
Im gonna need a walkaround video of this beautiful jeep
Thanks! It is ever changing.
Which road did you go on? I've only done 7 and 5 which is Toms Canyon. I want to go out and do the others but I don't know anyone who has gone on them to go with me.
We did a loop but did branch off in a few areas. We did not run Tom’s Canyon though. We had a pretty good sized group and not everyone could have made it. Hopefully next time. Look up the Dirty Adventure Crew group on Facebook.
I liked your video. Driving and parking that close to the old mine buildings is a good way to get introduced to some antique nails in a way that that you didn't want.
Thanks for checking it out. Definitely, we are always on the lookout for stray nails.
beautiful terrain, great video
Thanks for checking it out. Definitely an awesome area. I will have to check it out earlier in the summer.
Would like to do this. But I live in Germany….
If you ever get out this way it is worth doing. Anything in your area like the San Juan Mountains?
The views of the area are amazing!
They definitely are. I cannot wait to get back and explore more of the area.
Beautiful mountain in the 70s and 80s before Las Vegas found it. Thousands of side X sides have ruined it. Bought a cabin 30 miles from Duck Creek to get away from them.😖
I bet it was. We had a place in Mammoth Creek but this was the first time we have ran this trail.
Love this place, been there 3 times in the last year, stay at the camp area on top. I've gone both directions, from the 95 and from the 93- it's 16 miles from the 93 to the top, it's 26 miles from the 95 to the top. Last time I was up there me and the dog had the camp area to ourselves.
Nice! That is a great escape from the valley.
Nice video bro! Love this trail. I was hoping to see you walk up Cleveland Rock! 😮
Tanks for checking it out. I did not get to the rock on this trip but will attempt it next time we are up there.
@@DirtyChuckwalla nice man
Awesome!! Planning a trip to the San Juan’s next year. I see you linked up with a few of my wheeling buddies from Outcast Offroad!! And who was the spotter in flannel & ball cap?? He did an excellent job!!! Can I book him when I head out there next summer?? 😂😂😂😂
We just happened to meet up with the group. @4lo_adventures was spotting. He did an awesome job getting everyone through. Let us know when next year. Maybe we can run one with you.
@@DirtyChuckwalla Yeah wow he’s great!! Will definitely let you know & that would be awesome to link up if possible!!
Beautiful area - good car control - big fun to watch
Thank you. It is a great area. A lot of fun to run also.
The last time I ran this trail was about 1987. This was when the infamous mud bog was around. At that time it was possible to do it with 31x10.5" tires and open diffs. Still very difficult but doable. I can see over the years that it has become far more difficult. Thanks for sharing and the drive down memory lane 👍
Thanks for checking out our video. The mud bog is still there but a lot easier as it has been built up but you are right it would be difficult with that configuration now with all of the large boulders.
love that Islander JL.
Thanks! I built that one up. My wife likes the mountains and vapor wave sun.
@@DirtyChuckwalla reminds me of the mid 90s islanders YJ
I ram holy cross almost exactly 1 year ago today. Super badass trail. One hell of a time. I wish it was closer to me so I could run it more often!!!
Thanks for checking out the video. It is a great trail. We will be there more now that we live a little closer.
