Hello & Welcome to my OxygenFarm Quilts RUclips Channel! I'm so glad you are here & I want to Thank You for visiting.
My name is Christine & I am the Owner of OxygenFarm Quilts. I am a Grandma, Mama, Wifey and Quilter. I have been sewing & crafting since I was about 7 years old. I love the process of creating for others and trying new things.
My Mom always had a sewing machine set up in our home & she taught me the basics of sewing. In junior high I took "Home Economics" where I was introduced to different areas of textile arts. I still have & USE the kit I needed for that class. You'll see these items in my videos like my yellow headed pins & holder, seam ripper & wrist pin holder.
My Grandma on my Dad's side showed me the basics of quilting in my early 20's. She learned the basics of Quilting from my Great Grandma on my Mom's side. I'm proud to carry on our Quilting tradition & share with all of you.

Beautiful!! How is wave stitching done? I want to do that design on my next quilt. I don't see that you move the quilt, is it a design that has to be purchased? I use janome 15000. I will appreciate if you can guide me.❤
Hello and thank you for your question! On my sewing machine the stitch is called a “serpentine stitch”. I lengthen it to get the look that I like. Also, I use a walking foot for consistency. What are you using for your foundation? What size block do you usually make?
Hello and thank you for your questions.👋 For this quilt, I believe it was some sort of cotton lining that I rough cut at about 10 1/2 inches or so. When they were finished, I trimmed them down to 10” x 10”. I will make a tutorial when I get a chance to dive into those string baskets! Thank you for watching. 🌸😍❤️

Hi there! 👋 Yes, I used a foundation piece that I trimmed down when finished sewing to 10 inches. It was some sort of lining fabric. I will make a tutorial when I get a chance to dive in to my overflowing string baskets! Thank you so much for watching. 🤗🌺😍

If You were going to make a king size how much fabric would you need?
Hello and thank you for your question 😊 I believe for a King size quilt top you’ll need approximately 6 yards generally. I am not a pattern writer so this is just an estimation. I Googled how many jelly roll strips for a King size and the general consensus is 120 strips. I hope this helps! 😊
What fabric is your curtain made from?
I used fleece! I had a bunch of it for some reason Lol 😂 So, a curtain was made! 😁
That looks like sooo much work! I’m a beginner quilter and all self taught by video and book. This quilt is absolutely stunning! I appreciate your honesty in whole process and find it refreshing. I use my Cut n' Press mat all the time. I have a large wool mat next to it, but I keep my iron on the June Tailor mat, besides ironing small pieces on it. Mine's getting pretty well worn, so I'm going to keep this in mind! I never thought about re-covering it.

That is precious I bought that line also made a little girl with cancer a quilt and pillow bought 2 of the panels and used the other for the pillow turned out cute o hope she liked it. I didn’t get to meet her my daughter in law new them. She’s still fighting ! Bless her heart. Thanks for the video Miss lovely.

Thank you very much for sharing. If I have to do this to my mat, I will cut an extra piece from each item now (insulbrite, batting and top) so that I always have it ready to go next time it needs replacing. No need to source the items, measure and cut again. I may also put a layer of foil under the top fabric to protect it even further...just a thought.
