This was exactly what I was looking for, thank you Colin! I'm debating booking it on Icon of the Seas, though pretty hefty price. Good to know that I can leave my phone / stabilizer and forgo recording on the tour as I wasn't 100% sure if it was allowed (though had figured highly restricted at best). Would there be any issue with bringing a DSLR / Mirrorless camera on the tour? Thanks! Cruising next week so pretty excited!

steakhouse on Carnival is good and well worth it. I just got back from a steakhouse on land, it was $360 for 3 of us. It was no better that Fahrenheit 55, which would've been around $160 for 3 of us. I will say that Fahrenheit 555 restaurant itself is more or less comfortable depending on the ship. I felt it cramped on the Carnival Radiance, but spacious on the Carnival Panorama.

How long does the key lunch take? Could I possibly do the key lunch at 12 and another specialty lunch at 12:45?

Is the dining package truly unlimited? Like could I book a specialty dining restaurant for lunch and then do 2 speciality dining restaurants for dinner? Like a early dinner and a late dinner?

For Quantum of the Seas it says that beverages are not included and if you choose to purchase a beverage an 18% gratuity is added to all beverages. It sounds like the spritzer was included free of charge on your cruise-ship?

So you get private times for the onboard activities like the wakeboarding and indoor skydiving, but do you have to pay for those separately? Indoor skydiving is $40 a person, so if it’s included it’s a great deal

Good assessment. It seems outside of the included data connection and boarding meal most of what they are selling is really the inconvenience of others. I LOVE IT when the experience of others can be degraded in exchange for money.

The Key only becomes worth it to me when there are occasional price drops which take the price point below the price for the internet & stream package alone.

What is with (5) "The Mason Jar" or Cakes from (6) "Cafe Latte-Tudes" or non-beverage-products from (7) Starbucks? Is there a list at which locations we can spend the 20$ / Day?

Just paid $265 per person RC Wonder of the Seas 4 month out for a 7 night which was a steal in my opinion. Included 7 dinners and 3 lunches for a total of $24 per meal.

Great tips! Love the huge Carnival bag. One thing we like to do is bring a pillow case if we think our checked bag may be overweight for the plane. That way we can take out a few articles of clothing and put them in the pillow case and carry it on the plane.

I have many package tubes, but my faves are the one that are water proof. Got em from Amazon. Nothing are worse than water getting into your luggage and wetting your underwear.

I’ve purchased the key last year and then again this year. The key has improved but remains faulty in some areas. The key benefit depends on what is important to you. For me, the internet and the private checkin times for shows (you do need to make a reservation anyways beforehand), plus the ability to leave the cabin as late as 8 am with your luggage already waiting for you; are the reasons why it is worth for me. The lunch on embarkation day, or other “perks” are not what I would call value items as these items you could technically have without needing the key.

We are cruising in that room in June of 2023. Is there enough room for 2 suitcases to be stored there once we unpack?

Hi, I did the All Cruise Ship Tour on the Voyager OTS from Boston to Puerto Rico on Our third day sea cruising.. It was Awesome, I also 100% recommend it.

I agree 100% on your review - great job! We did The Key for a 4 night cruise and we did like the bag drop off at the welcome lunch so that our backpacks were taken to the room. We did not have any special line at check-in and the lunch was very good. I hate the buffet on the first afternoon so this is a great way to start your vacation. We always get the Stream internet package which on this cruise was only $2 more per person as The Key so no brainer. The priority seating is a very poorly implemented perk and needs to be revamped. We did not use this either. I had to laugh that our time for the special Flow Rider times was at 9:00am and just a few other times. There was no way we were doing that. We just waited like everyone else. There was no priority choice departure or special dining area for debarkation. We too, had the same menu as everyone else and there was no special line to exit. We were had to wait in the line with everyone else so this was something that was advertised but nobody even knew what I was talking about when I asked the dining room staff where the Key debarkation area was. Bottom line, if the internet is close to the price of the Key, then consider it. If not, then it does not give you anything special.
