    I can find many similarities with Greek football. Corrupted people running the federation, most of the stadiums are shite, the referees are so bad and corrupted that for years we call referees from other countries for the big matches, most of the teams are not economically stable and the list goes on. One good thing (maybe the only one) is that we have many talented youngsters who left the country early and play for foreign leagues. And this produces a descent NT. But the good things ends there. I dont know, maybe the Balkans are born problematic in every aspect.

    21:00 still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth Karius's career was killed that night and non of his team mates had his back on the field. Klopp tried to help him by publicly giving the news Karius was legimately concussed but by that time the damage was already done. Jeered by rival fins in pre season friendlies, having his instragram flooded with death threats and other team refusing to pay him because of his performances. As a liverpool fan, the team and fans really let him walk alone Moving on actual controversial moments not in finals 2005 Ghost Goal Dida faking being hit by a fan at Celtic park Milan Derby being called off due to flairs and violent conduct from the fans Drogba's its a disgrace rant at the refs Coutinho scoring for Bayern against Barcelona in the 8-2 match while being on loan Busquest's faking an injury to get Motta sent off Ronaldo and Simeone's testicle taunts lol (sorry edited the Dida one, it was him faking an injury when a celtic fan invaded the pitch and tapped his shoulder)

    Fun fact: Arsenal's first ever shirt was a Nottingham Forest shirt. Our first manager was a former Forest manager who scrounged up some freebies from his old club. Soon after, as we became the official club of the Woolwich Arsenal our kit reflected the military standards of the two regiments stationed there, red and white (home) and yellow and blue (away). The fact that our first shirt was red is probably why red and white became our immutable home colours where we don't always play in our correct colours for the away kit nowadays. Other than that, we probably have the easiest to explain origin story for our main nickname. Our others (The Arsenal or Bank of England FC) are maybe a little more opaque.

    As an Englishman it a real sense of shame with behaviour of fans and the media. The British tabloids have always been a joke even to most people here especially The Sun. When it comes to the fans it’s an unfortunate truth that comes from British football. It’s practically part of the game to fight rival fans for some people and there are tonnes of movies where the behaviour is almost glorified. It’s not just English fans either as I lived in wales for many years and I remember the local team getting knocked out of the welsh cup and suddenly the local riot police were trying to stop battles in the street between fans and fire bombs. I like football especially the internationals but I have always loved Rugby where I have been to countless away games where I have been invited to drink with rival fans and had a great time chatting and singing whereas even in a low league football game I attended there were fans fighting and abusing players. It’s that mentality along with diving and the screaming at the ref that puts a bad taste in my mouth. I will admit most of the behaviour you have pointed out is a minority of English people unfortunately they’re the loudest thanks to the way it echoes around their empty skull. Great video mate And PS footballs coming home is an absolute banger and I will not stand for the slander 😂

    CSKA 1948 are not fan owned nor fan supported. Their owner is Tsvetomir Naydenov, oligarch and owner of betting company efbet, the main sponsor of the bulgarian league. CSKA 1948 was his attempt to capitalize on the bankruptcy of the original club. The club also has no fans. It plays it's home games in a village near Sofia and they usually attract less then 100 people. Heck they played in the 2023 Bulgarian cup final and only sold around 200 tickets. It was in Sofia. Also their "homegrown" players are mostly poached by the academys of Levski and CSKA when they are 16-17.

    I’m in Romania at the moment, so I came back to this video! Trying to figure out just what is going on with football in the country. There’s a rule which I understand forbids state-backed clubs from playing in the Romanian top flight, so therefore so-called “Steaua Bucharest” (not FCSB) are seemingly stuck in the 2nd division. Same for Corvinul Hunedoara, 2nd tier cup winners last season and playing European qualifiers this season, which I’m going to watch today. But the Hungarian club Sepsi is in the top flight, despite the state-sponsorship rule. I don’t know how the rules work here, whether they forbid Romanian state groups from supporting football clubs but not foreign ones?

    • @he_football
      @he_football 2 месяца назад

      @thomasjohnson2862 They are all run through local businessmen with ties to Orban. And the money comes through sponsorships from companies with ties to Hungary. So whilst the money doesn't come in directly there are ways to make that work. Why are you watching Corvinul? Are you an Astana fan?

      @@he_football Just been travelling around Romania. I love the European qualifying round stages; I think it’s one of the best times of the football season, and the Corvinul match seemed like an interesting one to go to - 2nd tier cup winners playing in Europe.

    Motivul ptr. care f. putina lume regreta si plange dupa Dukla Praga il reprezinta faptul ca era echia regimului comunist din Cehoslovacia, mai exact echipa armatei (si stii si tu cat de urata a devenit institutia armatei in Cehoslovacia mai ales dupa evenimentele din primavara lui 1968, invazia din august a tarilor din blocul comunist, mai putin Romania ;) etc.) si a fost acel tip de club favorizat peste masura de regim ca sa aiba succes. Tu de ce crezi ca majoritatea jucatorilor cehi sau slovaci f. buni nimereau sa joace pe la Dukla ? Un club mai putin cunoscut astazi dar care a iesit de sub lumina reflectoarelor cel putin cand vine vorba de fotbalul european este IFK Goteborg. Suedezii au fost top 10 cluburi din Europa in anii '80. Au castigat 2 cupe UEFA (una cu Sven Goran Eriksson antrenor) si mereu ajungeau in fazele superioare ale competitiilor europene in care evoluau, cred c-au prins si cateva semifinale de Cupa Campionilor - stiu sigur c-au prins semifinala in sezonul de gratie 1985-1986 cand au jucat-o cu Barcelona si-au fost eliminati la loviturile de departajare desi per ansamblu au fost mai buni decat spaniolii. Ar fi fost interesanta o finala de Cupa Campionilor dintre IFK Goteborg si Steaua.
