Saw these guys open for Rush 30 years ago, crazy it's been that long ago. Loved the debut album. Didnt even know they were still around, still sounds great.

I saw them last night with Jerry Cantrell and Bush. Candlebox stole the show. Man, they still sound great live. I heard Kevin Martin is retiring after this year's tour, I'm not sure why. He's still got everything he always had.

TOAD the WET SPROCKET Concert! @ the Sound in Del Mar, CA 7/17/2024 1st concert of the Dulcinea 30th Anniversary tour! Dual Citizen 0:00 Nanci 4:23 All I Want 7:16 Nightingale 10:37 Fall Down 14:51 It's also my 1 concert this year using my Sony RX100vii camera. I forgot (or maybe never realized) that when I switch between photo and video modes, that I lost some settings I made that allowed me to change setting on the fly as I am video recording. So some clips turned out overly bright and grainy. My ears are also pretty damaged, so another reason for not going to shows that often. Using foam & silicone ear plugs at the same time is not enough anymore so for the 1st time I used noise protection ear muffs. Not sure if it is my ears, but I was hearing a lot of crackling distortion from the speakers. Maybe that was only coming from the smaller ceiling speakers (we were located behind FOH in the terrace section). I don't think my recording picked it up, so maybe I'm just hearing things because I am not playing it that loud here at home? Anyone notice the crackling distortion? If I recall correctly it was mostly heard when the cymbals were hit.
