    Hello, I found your recipe for peach cobbler, so glad I did. Very easy to make, and good ingredients. I wanted a recipe that didn't use a cake mix those are nice but wanted one like my Mom made! This is it for sure. I'm going to also try this with a couple other types of fruit. Thanks again so much, cobbler is almost done! 😊

    My mtorrs never got past 1200 for 10 hrs. Harvest Right is absolutely zero help!! Ive only had my machine in house 3 weeks it took nearly 3 weeks to arrive. Im past the return time! Im so frustrated because the manual is so unclear their videos are minimal at best. Im old and on a fixed income and this was a major purchase for us!! To have a machine that has functionality issues that requires me to pay $ 45 to be checked with a 3yr warranty is unacceptable. Im trying to figure this out and hope ive not got a lemon.

      @cookingandstoring 16 дней назад

      We are sorry to hear about your problems. The thing I would check first is the drain line and the valve on it. It seems to be the most common problem area. Good luck and please let us know how it goes.

    A common problem, with that clear hose as seen in this video, is the inside collapsing especially if the hose has gotten smashed in any way. They have a small, ridgid hose that is inserted into the large clear hose. That fixes that problem. Or an entire hose replacement.

    Thanks for the video, Wayne. My problems started after changing the oil. Have never had an issue with my large machine. I admit to tipping the pump when I was draining the oil due to the awkward location of my pump and absentmindedness. Took the demister off and cleaned it after watching another video. Before taking it off, I was at 1586mTorr and, after cleaning and drying, I hit bottom at 1528mTorr so not really any difference at all. My premium pump is also making a different noise... more of a whirring sound and it seems quieter to me. I'm pretty convinced that, whatever I've done, it started with me changing the oil. When I try to run a load, it goes into and 'extra dry time' mode and, as soon as it finishes, it goes straight into Vacuum Freezing and says it's running at over 2500mTorr. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    • @cookingandstoring
      @cookingandstoring Месяц назад

      Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. I don't think it is a problem with the pump but I could be wrong. Did you test the drain valve for a vacuum leak, it is the most common problem area from what I have seen. If not the drain valve, I would loosen the hose that goes from the pump to the machine and reseat them like I demonstrated in the video. Good luck and thank you for visiting.

    Yum! Wayne’s got a good smile. So it’s one peach slice per roll? I imagine canned peaches would be messy to roll up. Wish there was a close up of what it looks like inside, but it appears easy enough I might just have to try this out…soon!

      Yes, I like to put big ole pieces of peach in mine. I usually use half a peach and stretch the dough around it. I like the peaches most of all! If I have to use canned peaches I usually drain them on paper towels, before I try to roll them up. I hope you try and enjoy them! Thanks for your continued support!

    You have to understand how each fitting works, the hose fittings that go from the machine to the pump are compression fittins. The threads only pull the compression faces together, they need to mate smoothly or you can't get your vacuum. A little oil on the o ring and the mating surfaces might help, it won't "seal" the fitting but it will allow the fitting to smoothly mate for a better fit. The valve is a common pip fitting which needs teflon tape, I use good teflon takpe with a little pipe thread compund to make sure its tight. If your drain valve leaks make sure its not rusted, my sons rusted and we bought a new, better one.

    Thank you a million times over!!! My machine has not been pulling an adequate vacuum for over 2 months. I have spent countless hours researching, watching youtube videos, ripping apart my vacuum pump, taping everything imaginable, etc. I was at a loss and about to rip the side panels off my machine to take an internal look. But I thought, let's try youtube universe one more time before resorting to this last step. Thank goodness for your video!!! Turns out, the drain valve was not closing 100%. Since replacing, my mTorrs are now as low as 350! It's never been this low. Thanks Again!!!!

    Have you ever not used lemon juice and no vanilla but added a pinch of nutmeg when making your cobbler. It’s so good. If someone wants a little thicker topper on their cobbler they can use a 9x9 casserole dish. You just have to use a little less peaches. I make mine almost the same as you except I use a pinch of nutmeg n white peaches. I’ll have to try your recipes next. Thank you

    Is this something you could freeze-dry, or would the process destroy the consistency or would it fail to freeze-dry? I know you have a Freeze Dryer but your videos stop after the cooking process has ended. Have you considered making a separate video on the “storing” part, or do y’all eat everything before getting that far 😂? Love how we get to see the whole process of making/cooking. Ever wish you had an island where we can see you head-on? I was thinking this when you filled in the dish; how it was almost out of view. I knew what was happening, just couldn’t enjoy watching the product go in. Do you hand slice the strawberries, or use a food processor? I’ve been considering getting a food processor to cut down on the time it takes me to wash, cut the stem off, and slice each strawberry, what do you think, should I bite the bullet and get one?

    • @cookingandstoring
      @cookingandstoring 3 месяца назад

      Hello, I don't think this could be freeze dried and rehydrated successfully. It possibly could be freeze dried and eaten as a crunchy snack. I've never tried and can't say for certain that it is possible. It might be too tall to fit into the machine. Yes, I wish I had a larger kitchen area for doing our videos. My kitchen is too small to accommodate an island. I do hand slice the berries, but highly recommend a good quality food processer, which in general makes preparation quicker and easier. I'm always amazed at how quickly ours can process a large quantity of food. When are garden starts producing, it will get quite the workout! Thanks for visiting and your comment.

      Glad it was helpful! My Breville Food Processer is a real work horse. I really have enjoyed using it. It is incredibly fast and easy to use. I will have to look into the Breville immersion blender. Thanks for watching!

      @@cookingandstoring Thank you. I love my Breville immersion blender. I've had others by Bamix, Braun, Cuisinart and KitchenAid. The Breville has lasted the longest. The KitchenAid one broke the blade the second time I used it. I was making an easy smoothie (yogurt, juice, banana) and I heard the blade break. Glad I didn't drink it! Your food processor looks like it will last a lifetime. Have a good day.

    After several months of my drier down due to a leek, and spendinding a few hundred dollars on new parts, I came across your video. Thank you for the very informative and slow information. Like I said, I changed several parts and spent $200 to harvest right and my problem was a loos conection from the hose to the pump. Thank you.

      It will depend on how much moisture is in whatever you are freeze drying but we average maybe 1 to 1.5 quarts. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.
