First support the engine by placing a jack with a wide piece of wood under the sump. Don't jack directly on the sump , you must have the wood to increase the surface area . Jack it until the wood touches the sump. Then loosen the mounting bolts .

Hi . Unfortunately it's something that could be a number of issues, it's best to let a mechanic check it out for you. Misfires can result from simple things like spark plug and leads to valves , rockers , lifters , worn sprockets., timing etc It's a lot that needs to checked

Check your plug's if it's not broken even a slight cracking in the plug can cause it to miss fire

Hi . Unfortunately it can be a number of problems you are going to have to get it checked out. Sensors is best to be OEM Mexico ones. Check your fuel pump and filter also. Like I say it can be many things

Hi . It's very difficult to pin point. Everything has to be rechecked , from timing, tps to wiring . Make sure you use original sensors (Mexico) not the aftermarket ones . They work or they don't work in certain vehicles . I had a similar issue , turned out it was a loose wire in the small loom.

One last question, was I supposed to take battery terminal off when I took off the sensor to clean it

@@kieravolkwyn351 no it's not necessary, however after changing major parts or a service interval it's a good idea to do it as it resets the ecu.

Hi there. Generally you should be fine. There are many explanations for the four colours. It has to do with the ingredients and composition. Generally the green and red is common use and the pink and blue are for newer year model vehicles. This explanation is very basic but it's the easiest way to look at it. You can google further information. I prefer the evron premixed for my vehicle as it is balanced and safe and has a good price point. There are more expensive types but I think it is overkill. Just don't use water only. Coolant should be like all other moving parts be changed out every year. This is what I prefer for my vehicle and may not be preferable to someone else.

Hi . I can only suggest to check the fuel pump relay. If you turn the ignition and you don't hear the pump sound come on it means there is no power to the pump. Check the wiring.

Hi . If it's the same model You are most probably talking about the air pipes that goes from the inlet manifold to the purge valve

Aslmlkm. This particular vehicle the Opel Corsa 1.4 Utility Gamma Bakkie has a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) . Other car and 16v models have them. Consider joining the channel for a more interactive experience

Hi . It's difficult to diagnose without proper inspection. I would start a with the basics , have the battery checked., check If the alternator is changing, does it swing and then die, or is it just dead no dash lights. Best is to take it to a workshop.

Best to replace the whole tank . You can get them at scrap dealers or buy it new at @goldwagen or @takealot

Hi . These bakkies are still very much a part of South Africa. Parts are fully available. Petrol spares are way more available than diesel.

@@solveitautomotive9485 also, I saw in one of your videos that if it’s the water pump there would be signs of a leak. What are the signs your thermostat is damaged?

@@famba0 a main factor in all problems is how well you did your services. Also certain parts particularly moving parts need to be changed out between 50 to a hundred thousand kilometres eg water pump, thermostat,oil pump , tensioners , lifters rockers etc. So you need to determine how old the parts are in your engine. The type of coolant in the engine is very important.

@@solveitautomotive9485 one last question. I idled the bakkie this morning and at around 80degrees the fan came on and all was working perfectly. Then I did the same a few minutes ago and temp went up to 90 with no fan coming on. Does the thermo switch offer both temp indication and tells the fan when to switch on or is there something else control when it turns on

@@famba0 Your temp sensor or cold start sensor under the coil will do that in combination with the thermo switch.

Hi . The camshaft sprocket gear 50nm +45deg (3 Stretches max then replace bolt) Crankshaft bolt 150nm (3 Stretches max then change the bolt) Mains and big ends , please check with the engineers on torque settings of the bolts . It's usually a very small amount of torque depends on bolt sizes and work done on the crank

Hi Try to get a genuine second hand idle valve . One made in Mexico , it will be a better choice than the ones from the spares shops. Also check your wires and electrical plugs
