      @@thejuraguy it's my second machine. the previous one was a lower/cheaper model which served me very good for many years. The J8 is very good as well, although I don't the syrup feature, well, at all

      Thank you, great question!!! It's a little bit the same issue, but a different sort of problem. The puck scraper can prevent the drawer from going in (like in this video) but it can also prevent you from pulling the drawer OUT. Unlike in this video, when the drawer is stuck IN the machine, your problem indicates that you definitely need service, because the brew group is no longer able to re-center itself. That's OK!     I have a 5 year old Z6. It's at about 22,000 cups made.. . I love it. I'm amazed it's still working. Do you get many Z6's in for rebuild?

      Hi there! 22,000 is far beyond typical for a service interval-that's amazing that it hasn't needed anything: a testament to the care you're giving it and also a testament to the quality of jura products.     I was already pretty deep into the machine when I found your video. I have brew group out. Does it make sense to do a deep cleaning of it?

      Hi! It's a great idea to rebuild the brew group periodically, but you're likely finding it's an exercise in extreme patience. We can best help in these situations by offering expert repair.       With the milk unplugged, do you have steam? If so, the system is clogged or there's a loose connection. OR your machine may be clogged internally. Let us know how you come out, and please fill out a form for repair if you need us! Thanks, Ben

      If you select the milk function and you have steam, you should be able to pull milk, unless the system is partially clogged. Try the disassemble and soak and see if that helps! If it doesn't, your machine will need service in the shop (clogged with sediment). We can help there! Link is in the description. Ben

    Good Morning Ben, Does this include the error "fill beans"? I have the hopper full of beans and it does grind the beans down and drops it in the tray but keeps coming up with the fill beans error

    Hi. I'll try what your saying. My x9 suddenly started say system fill...press rinse, when I did that the water started coming out the hot water spout.. i could hear like something trying to pump.but nothing, press rinse..but she's nit going through the rinse system.. help

      There are lots of potential causes for the fill system error, which is triggered when the machine is unable to move water. The machine automatically detects the lack of water flow and attempts to prime using an alternate route. If the brew head is not clogged (that's specifically what this video addresses) the you likely have a clog somewhere else in the system. That's a difficult one! Do you have a repair shop locally? We don't work on the X9's. Best regards, Ben

    i have well water, so my tap water doesn't have any chlorine in it!! will this be a problem? what should I do?

      Great question! Fill the tank as I describe in the video, then when you get back from vacation, flush the whole system. In addition, I would recommend you give the tank a good wash after you return since there might be a bit of an aquarium effect happening! Descaling is a good idea too: this would disinfect your machine and help remove sediment. People with RO water have the same issue: there's no chlorine, so they need to wash the tank more frequently.     This was helpful- I find sometimes that after the milk system cleaning cycle when you rinse with fresh water that the system isn’t really pulling much water and I thought this may be related to why my froth isn’t great (froth is “deflating” minutes after brewing)

    how do you fix it if the power won't go on ? it overfilled with water in the reservoir at the bottom

      Hi there. You may need service, but we would need a bit more info in order to help solve the problem. GFCI may have tripped at the breaker at the outlet: dry everything out and reset the breaker. Check the fuse box too and reset after allowing the machine to dry out for a day or two. If after a few days your machine won't start at all, even on another outlet, then please fill out a repair request (in the description) and we'll do our best to help. Cheers, Ben

    So…all of the sudden, after a year of never having an issue, my Jura E6 Platinum won’t make coffee/espresso at all. I’ve descaled/cleaned/and just did the damp towel wipe on the screen, which was definitely dirty “af”. Basically what’s happening is, it grinds the coffee(an entire puck), sounds like it’s gonna brew…..maybe offers 1-2 drops, and then says “enjoy” and then asks me to open switch (which it had never done proper) when I do it says “filling system”. Is there a way I can contact you directly to troubleshoot this. I am poor as fuck, bought this refurbished and paid installments for an entire year. I really don’t want to lose this machine.

      Definitely fill out a form for a repair estimate. We provide troubleshooting to try to keep you out of the shop. Sometimes, a machine really does need service, though, and this kind of issue (clogging) possibly means we'll need to disassemble the machine, locate the clog and replace the offending part.     Dude, THANK YOU! Only have had my J8 a month and a half and thought I was screwed. This vid saved my day (and life because my wife would have killed me had she not had her morning cup 'o joe lol) Wiped that screen twice between a few rinse cycles and back to new again! You rock man, cant thank you enough.

    Dude!!! Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure this out for weeks now. We still might have another problem, but these steps got us 2 delicious proper drinks for the first time in weeks. Your caveat at the end has me thinking it's not over though, since we have always had a lot of water in the drip tray, and apparently that's not normal. Oh well. Going to enjoy my coffee for now.

    Hey do you know why my machine would just stop telling me to clean and descale it? I had to go in to manual to the clean setting to clean it. Today I just reset back to factory setting to see if that helps. Any other thoughts?

      Hard to say! If there's another cleaning message on the screen it might conceal other cycles. Clear the first message and it might reveal others that are overdue.

      Just tap water! When you return, I definitely recommend a hand wash of the tank, fresh filtered water, then flush the system by selecting hot water and running 8 oz to introduce fresh water everywhere throughout the machine.

    Hi Ben, I have a Z5 that's been fine until recently where it occasionally shuts off without warning or error message. I restart it sometimes 2-3 times and then it works fine again. I have been wondering about the thermal blocks (water heaters) as it is an older machine could they be drawing to much or the thermal switches not working properly?? any thoughts?

    Amazing advice to save my Impressa S8 (getting on in the years but still amazing). Couldn't fill the system after removing the water tank. Unclogging the brew head worked!! Thanks so much. (I did try years back to 'fix' another Jura system, but, got in so deep it made the dumpster as @fox49 was thinking.) If you have a price for maintenance service, I'd suffer through brew coffee for a bit.

    I have owned a Jura for a few years now, it's worked ok...but recently had some issues with the bean sensor, it says add beans when hopper is full, help would be appreciated

We disassemble and clean the grinder, re-install a premium stainless grinder burr profile, and tune it for best taste and extraction. This more permanently fixes the fill beans error.
