I don't know why but I always find Kathmandu difficult. I don't want to compare it with any other extreme airports but still it is different in its own ways. This airport is like, "Dude! don't you dare underestimate me". I don't fly here often. I guess this is what makes me underconfident when it comes to Kathmandu. I should fly here more frequently. It may be because your computer might not be compatible with that version. Try to install lower version. Try 2020.3.17.

You normally intercept a localiser at a 45º angle If you were wondering what that beep sound at 7:30 and 8:15(give or take) was, that's the ILS marker. You have three. The inner, outter and middle markers. I haven't heard the inner marker in a very long time. You can listen to this by pressing the ILS knob on the ACP and adjusting the volume (your A320 does this, I've tested it). The real aircraft also shows OM (outter marker) and MM (middle marker), orange and blue respectively, flashing on top of the artificial horizont on the PFD (your A320 does this too, just that A330 Nice decrabing, and nice vid!

I really dont like this game to lag so badly
As much as I know, Flightgear is one of the flight simulators that works well in low end pcs. Try to lower your graphics settings to increase performance.

A little wile ago you asked me what EPR you should set your thrust levers to for the take off. So, I spoke with a fellow colleage of mine who workes at wizzair, and he said to me you should set the thrust levers to 1.05 EPR. Hope this clears out the question 😉 You need to be established on the vertical and horizontal paths at 300 feet RA (you did it just before the window closed)
Thanks for the info. I try to get established by 500ft in non-precision approach. But this time I couldn't 😅. Even though I continued because the picture looked do-able. I had to do three go-arounds yesterday as I couldn't stabilise myself. I haven't shown that in the video but I do go-around when it is not safe to continue. 😅

Amazing like I have seen it on my TV I was really waiting to see this and it is here, it is amazing but the cockpit looks little weird I hope that they fix it, anyways I seem that there was lag while you were flying it, I would really recommend you to use Intel Turbo booster it helps !

Wow! Though the cockpit is not like that. The cokcpit is very similar to the 787. The final approach speed for boeings is Vref+5 (I think (I don't fly them)). Try to not overreact to the rudder Questions: Where can I download this? Does it have a functional switch to fold the wings?
I have seen that 777's cockpit is of yellowish brown color. But I'm not sure about the 777X. Even though, this looks beautiful! Here is the link for this bird:- github.com/franck-vmd/Boeing-777-Flightgear And Yes, it does have a working switch to fold the wing. As much as I remember, it is situated at lower left of the overhead panel. It also has indication for it on the EICAS. 😊
@@devansh8846 that's great! Yes, the 777 does have a "yellowish brown" color, but the 777X is much similar to the 787. You couldn't really tell the difference between the two if it weren't for some key features, such as "777" printed out on the yoke

Nothing. I wasn't using any inbuilt failures. I was trying to mimic a checkride. I intentionally turned off the engine master switch. Thanks for watching. 😊

Thanks for flying our MD-11. MCDU/FMS is currently in progress on a separate branch due to that some things may break during its development. Hope to get more MCDU features into the main branch soon. Btw - you can silence the flashing red ATS box by pushing CTRL+D (or throttle buttons) a second time.

Loved the charts! Out dated, but fine. I've never been trough such an arrival. They're typically much straight forward. The runway has changed about two years ago to runway 20, and the other from 03 to 02. In real life you typically exit through H1, but the simulator is outdated as well as your ground chart. The taxiway you've exited through is not even real 😂 (just some facts) Regarding the flight itself, I have nothing to say
Thanks for watching. I am glad that you liked the flight. I just google the icao name of the airports + chart and whatever link provides me a pdf, I go for it. Works fine for sim with no atc and traffic.
The IAE engines do feel more realistic The nose lights come on only when landing gear is being deployed, alongside with the ground spoilers arming
I have kept that in mind in the upcoming video😊

Interesting... A VOR approach is normally done with the ND VOR Rose mode, but that's fine
I usually use the default approach provided by the route manager whenever I fly in India. There is lack of waypoints and navaids. From my experience, I know, even the ILSs are not align with the runway at most of the airports in India. If I had followed the VOR radial published in the chart, I would have been way away from the runway. There is also no VOR horizontal and vertical guidence available on the pfd like in real aircraft. As per the chart, it is a VOR approach. But in actual, it is a default approach until 6 nm from the runway threshold. Then a continuous descent of 3°, followed by a visual approach. 😅
@@devansh8846 I see... That VOR vertical and horizontal guidance that you're talking about is called V/DEV, and is not only usedwoth VORs, but with all kinds of non-precision approaches

Great video! I would personally go to selected speed and go to maybe 194kn. I know it was just for video purposes, but in real life you wouldn't just straight put parking brake. The brakes are very hot at this moment, and its temperature will continue to rise dramatically. If you put the parking brake you, you're basically preventing the brakes from cooling down. You flare was perfect. In this kind of situation you can't eat the runway. So flaring but actually touching down is key, otherwiseyou need to go around and try again. This could theoretically happen, provided a flaps and slats computers fail (it's very rare though, and these are not the same you find on your overhead panel, such as ELAC, SEC and FAC). Congrats for Madeira Airport Spotting commenting on your video! Afterall, they are a famous aviation channel! I will teach how to do a circling approach once I have the time. Right now I'm writing this seated on the right hand seat of the cockpit waiting for our slot 😅, so I can't right now give a full in depth explanation

Great to see you flying a circling approach, but I'm afraid most of it was completely incorrect and you would fail a screening assessment. If you want me to fully explain to you how to fly a circling approach, just tell me Where do you get all these weird looking liveries??
I agree, it was all wrong mostly. Even I knew when I started doing it. When I checked the weather for my destination, I came to know that wind was not in the favour of a precision approach. I could have done a VOR approach. But I took it as an opportunity to try the circling approach because I didn't fly it in a while. I didn't have the chart for Rovaniemi. So, I don't know which side of the airport circling is permissible and at what altitude. I went below my own decided altitude, about 200ft or so. I didn't turn off the FD and LS. After passing the threshold and being 1000ft above the airport altitude, I should have initiated the turn to base at 30 seconds minus 4 seconds for 4 knots of tailwinds. Being honest, I got overwhelmed when doing it. I was also quite unstable on final as well. I will be more than happy and thankful if you tell me the correct procedure. Especially when breaking out/off, how much degree we should turn for how many seconds. I found some of the liveries from here, github.com/Pilot2938/Pilot2938-FG-liveries/tree/master/A320-family
