The ram effect of the intake is nominal at best ....considering the car made 209.4rwkw with this mod (and exhaust) plus the car showed drastically improved fuel economy means its working. The factory intake is all about noise reduction not power.

@@backyardbunkybuilds7461 The exhaust mods would be responsible for that gain. The holes would mean you take in more hot engine bay air. A better way to do this is make a larger air feed tube, or even more than one tube and get it taking air directly from the front of the car unimpeded and with some large mesh at the entry to stop objects entering. You then get cooler denser air with a stronger ram effect. I'm a mechanical engineer - try it and get back to me.

Yes that will work and probably perform just as well. The stock intake pipe has a muffling system to reduce intake noise but it shouldn't restrict flow. So you should get the increase in flow without the noise. 👍🏻

Unfortunately the FG has become the country commute car and has stacked on the kms....she still goes hard and will eventually run again at the drags .....needs a new allfast torque converter first 🤔

Its still got a hypothetical gear speed of 297kph (obviously not enough power to go that fast) still gets 600km to a tank in the city and 700 on country runs.

With this delete mod/gimmick, you have simply created a NCV .. Negative(or Neutral) Crankcase Ventilator ... (good luck keeping combustion contaminants out of your oil and crankcase now)

Hi Marcello its got a dea full system on it ..... the cat back section is a 2.5" dea hotdog middle muffler with sports rear muffler section.

Gday mate the exhaust note definitely got better over time and is much better once the system burns in.

Hi Joe the filter needs to be a tight fit because you can't fit a hose clamp on it. I spat on it to lube it and it pushes on with some twisting and elbow grease.

Gday mate what would you like to do with your BF ? If you want to go a bit faster on a budget then the mods I've done on my FG will work well on your BF and are all easy to do bit by bit yourself.

Honestly i couldn't tell you but hopefully in the next 6 months.

@@backyardbunkybuilds7461 I ordered slightly different extractors, it didn't connect together bit I got someone to make an attachment, so it's all good now.

Hi VV the exhaust system is very easy to fit yourself and you'll save yourself a couple of hundred dollars. If done correctly there will be no difference in the reliability of the exhaust system.

Its way faster now that the tunes been fixed. Easy 13s all day. But live 700km away from the nearest drag strip !!!

Hi Daniel those runs were without stalling up the converter. So it was at idle and we just mashed the accelerator and off we went.

Hi Andrew you will need to go to a tuner to get it unlocked. They usually charge $50-$100. But if you find a good one they might do it free with a tune.

can I still use it even my car is tuned on e85 via pcmtec I want to change tyre size can I do this

Hey Ryan yeah the rack is collapsible and you should be able to pull it back into place.

Might just be stuck .....perhaps a light tap with a mallet or hammer to free it up. Only tap dont smash it cause it will damage it

They did a great job on my car. I would definitely recommend the transmission tune and drag mode. Its alot of money and i only gained 10rwkw but car drives so much better and shifts so much faster

Hey Mr Greens yes i had a driveshaft shop change it over.

Unfortunately we haven't had the opportunity to take it back but its much quicker now than it was when it was running 14.00s so time will tell.

@@backyardbunkybuilds7461 please keep us up to date as there would be quite a few of us that will probably copy what you've done 👍 I've got a na territory and am doing diff gears, bolt ons, udp's, cams and I'll probably copy most of what you've done

Unfortunately its going to be a while before we can run the car again as we've moved over 600km away from the track but the car is definitely capable of mid to low 13s now it's just getting the correct conditions and traction to do it. The thing blazes first and a bit of second gear now even on a roll on with 265 rears.

I got it done by a driveline shop and balanced for $100

Strange, mine got broken as well same side, I'm going to install LED Angel Eye Halo lights.
