Excellent build !!! Did one of these a few years back. Paid 1200 for a crashed 6 speed auto FG. Did extractors and exhaust for bugger all. Mine came with a single spinner m86 diff stock , so swapped in a BA 3.46 lsd center I got for $150 ,then I just used a sctx3 tuner to put in a mail order tune for both the motor and the zf box. Got a best of 13.6 @99.5 mph. Not bad for the old 2 Ton Tessies .

@@kerryclunies-ross1067 I got mine from BP racing at the time. Worked quite well. Talk to them about your mods , and go from there. No substitute for a proper dyno tune though !!

🤙🤙 good stuff, dont have a project now just tinker on my patrol but i had 2 falcon utes, NA Tradesman and a xr turbo. NA was buckets more fun, converted it to a 5 speed manual and chucked in 4:11 diff gears and a full spool centre......best bang for buck mods i ever did, its still alive but i retired it and gave it to a friend to use the driveline in his project ....turbo was brilliant too but much more likely to try kill you if you made any sort of error in judgment with no traction control....its not alive now, after 1 oil pump failure on engine one and engine two rodney came knocking and kicked the side out of the house i had spent too much money and it got sold and parted by the buyer 😂✌ keep it up

I got the same parts for my 09 FG Falcon but did anyone have to cut and weld a peice from the original cat to be able to make up for the empty space?
Hi Klayton it should be a straightforward bolt on with no cutting or welding. Has your car been previously modified?

Hey mate, maybe you can help me... Ordered myself a complete DEA exhaust, pacemakers, hi flow and 1 muffler... it's going on a 2004 XT, and from my understanding XT's only have the single o2 sensor pre CAT... Can you confirm this?
Just trying to figure out if i'll need to order a bung for the second o2 hole on the DEA exhaust.
I'm not 100% sure to be honest but from what I've read it appears that your correct. BA falcons only had one in the exhaust manifold which is a big plus 👍.....you shouldn't need a spacer

@@backyardbunkybuilds7461 in all honestly its like ford tried holding on to the 70s and 80s with the chrome on blue where Holden, Toyota and datsun/Nissan ditched coloured backgrounds badges during the 70s and 80s
Their badges would look nicer if they were black on chrome or chrome on back
There is a company that does overlays on ebay for steering wheel, front and rear badges in all different colour combos just gotta pop the old badge of and pop the new ones on

Hi Marcello its got a dea full system on it ..... the cat back section is a 2.5" dea hotdog middle muffler with sports rear muffler section.

Might just be stuck .....perhaps a light tap with a mallet or hammer to free it up. Only tap dont smash it cause it will damage it

Ours is a DEA cat back but I'd be surprised if it doesn't fit up....Dea is modular and can be interchanged with stock pipes
Great vids, i done my cat & exhaust in 2010, my auiii tradesman ute damn baffle broke off last weekend, it has an intech 4.0 will your mods also work on my old beast, shes done plenty for me so bout time i showed her a bit more love then annual serviceing and pink slip repairs. a few things went over my head in some of your vids just wondering the effect of removing the intake muffler and replacing the centre bearing? my ute has vibration under throttle but not coasting I was thinking i might need one anyway but ima shit mechanic. anyhow looking forward to your next vid Cheers

I'm wanting to get my na tuned in the next few weeks. I have a full exhaust and your intake mod, I don't think I'm gonna bother with the under drive pulley kit. Is there anything I should know or do before I take it to a dyno tuner? I'm also wanting to get the multi tune profiles with a gohstcam tune which I wont run all the time.
Gday Jez I would definitely recommend the underdrive kit as it makes a very noticeable power increase....but it can be done after your tune if you choose to do it in the future. Before taking your car in for a tune you'll need to go over everything to ensure the cars in good running order. A service and new set of plugs will be a good idea and gapping your plugs to 1.0mm instead of the factory 1.4mm helps a little. As long as the cars in good working order the tuner will be able to do their thing.
Dont expect a big gain in power .....although it may only pick up ten or fifteen kw it'll be throughout the rev range and be very noticeable. Also ensure they tune your transmission if your running an auto. My car was making 199.7rwkw before the tune and made an extra 10kw with the tune. But at 209.4rwkw its now epic.

I have a xr6 ba 4speed with 4495s but I herd that 4490s are better for low end mainly i want a quicker boost of the stop start
Gday Taylor. A set of underdrives will give you some better response and more power but best bet is to change the diff gears to something like a 3.7. The gears will effect your fuel economy but they'll also boost your bottom end and midrange performance.
sounds ricey but itl go away as the carbon goes through the system

Gday Reckless ....just got the new diff in and she goes to Xtreme on Wednesday if all goes to plan. Will be doing an update video soon but wont bore everyone with the diff conversion as theres heaps of how to videos already on RUclips.

Problt stupid question but i ordered a high flow cat and peacemaker headers will that fit the stock fg exhaust system
Most systems are modular so it should fit up
Gday just a random question, do you know if it’s worth putting one of those “Idrive” throttle controllers on I know they sell them but don’t know it it would make any difference I know they work well on 4x4s
G'day it wont affect your power or torque but it will make the throttle more responsive with will make the car feel sharper .....this can also be done with a tune.

Hi Dale mines a late 2012 .....i got the parts from DEA performance and am very happy with them

Not in my experience here as extractors are allowed on a permit anyway. But you can spear a call to your insurance company and as long as they know about it you'll be sweet.

Gday Luke car made 199rwkw before the tune .......and i have fitted an M86 LSD 3.73 ratio diff .....hauls ass. Has been tuned but will reveal that in a vid eventually.

hi mate I have a 2002 BA falcon and i exactly want to install that extractor and cell cat,,do BA falcons need this adaptor as well??my point is if I get these installed ,,will i get an error code?
Hi Aram if your BA has a single oxygen sensor it won't throw codes. But if it has one before and another after the catalytic converter you'll need a spacer on the second oxygen sensor.

At the moment I am using mod that's call windbooster Maybe u have heard it ?
But what it does as modern cars have no throttle cable it's electronic cable stops the lag . U can adjust levels on the ecu to transmission

Where did you get the cat converter piece for the hot exhaust gas oxygen sensor & how much
Hi Craig. I got it off of ebay. But ive noticed that with the cooler weather the car now throws the cat code. Still drives 100% and doesn't go into limp mode.
@@backyardbunkybuilds7461 mine does the same i have a full exhaust i picked up from DEA Performance if i warm the car before driving i don't get the code i also wrapped the cat in exhaust wrapping this helped a little bit i just erase the code with a scanner from supercheap auto when it comes on no problem with limp mode either

Hi Steve yes it throws the P0420
But doesn't cause any issues
Why do you need the spacer??
Without the spacer the second oxygen sensor reads to much flow and will cause the car to throw error codes and go into limp mode. This is a measure to stop people messing with the cars catalitic converter.

Hi Levi I haven't had an engine light at all yet ......so looks like it'll fix your problem.
I got the extractors second hand and their stamped with 4490 but 4495's will fit and both can be found in classifieds or ebay.
I ordered the cat straight from DEA online and it was a bargain at $250 inc freight. Hope I helped 👍

Hi VV the exhaust system is very easy to fit yourself and you'll save yourself a couple of hundred dollars.
If done correctly there will be no difference in the reliability of the exhaust system.
