Well done well said ❤
Very well done much appreciated. Keep it up. Suscribed. An elderly Derryman
Did it for a week back in the 80's outside the Richmond centre. Made a total of £2 for 5 days and sacked it.
Loved my Tour of Londonderry and unleashing copious amounts of baton rounds outside Strand Road. It's also nice to see my old accommodation block and brought back memories of all the young Catholic girls getting sneaked into our rooms after the RUC disco next door....Good times 😂
Good old londonderry
Great to see we have moved on to better times now it all seems like a distant memory , I now feel i could go back and take a trip down memory lane, its been a long time.
Sound effects as well that sounded like a sixer (army personnel carrier)coming in behind you at the beginning of the vid , the good old days 🤣 great work just subscribed Tiocfadhi Ar La.
Such a sweet voice commenting, example" 194wan"😱
So great to see the barracks repurposed as a cultural hub for locals and tourists alike. It's the hundredth anniversary of my Grandparents getting married in Derry and my wife and I are planning our first ever visit to the city this fall. Just outside Ebrington gate is where they met and courted. I never met either of my Grandparents, so your videos are like getting a chance to step back in time and walk in their shoes. Thank you for making them.
Good documentation, but english subtitles would be helpful to understand all, thanks. ❤
This is why Americans need to keep their second amendment rights. I’m not living on my knees and having to throw rocks and bottles.
gtreat vid seamus
The old town's starting to look a lot better....enjoyed the wee stories :)

Sad day shouls never of happened...dont see many memorials for the murdered soldiers and civilians
Rest in Peace. Will be sorely missed
Brilliant! Gx
Very interesting. This guy knows a lot about the local history. However, the video would have been better if you showed more of the monuments and less of the guide. Try to show the monuments while the guide is talking.
Seamus i am from belfast when it happened and yes its coming up 50yrs since i got the hell out of belfast. for me it was 6mths after bloody sunday i was picked up by the para troops <BASTARDS> for working an 8 to5 job < DC PRODUCTS> were they made metal tables, chair frames plus mufflers for cars. the british should pay billions of pounds for what them para troops did to all those people. But what the hell is money for what them pigs did. Seamus its hard to beleive its almost 50yrs coming up since that happened. Seamus that was a great video to watch indead.
Any details on the IRA firing on the soldiers? Who fired the first shots ?
Widely believed to have been a certain Mr McGuinness.
Military stormtroops policing a foreign feral civil population which hates them, & is at the same time rabidly out for its neighbours' blood, is a bad combination.
There is nothing like an independent, impartial, unbiased and truthful account of history and this is nothing like an impartial, unbiased and fair account. It is however, a great tribute to the UK that such bitter people as this are paraded before us as worthy of admiration. This guy has thrown his life away on bitterness and violence. Its sad and he is to be pitied really.
Can you point out where he is based? Just because you don't like the area, the history of the area and how he is telling it doesn't mean he is biased.
You don’t know sh1t
You're a fucking joke,,,just made a joke out of that guy ,,,disgrace
Audio could do with a bit of volume adjustment
I really enjoyed watching this. Your stories and memories were brilliant, especially the ''keep quiet money,.'' lol . Well done to you and the camera person.🖕🖕
A very informative and well presented video with a personal touch to the very sad history. I’m an American who was very involved with Civil Rights in this country and always hoped that those protesting for equal rights and fair treatment might have worked there the way it did in the US, but the brutality of the forces both military and police pushed it past the edge of non-violent struggle in my opinion. We too experienced brutality and death but not on the same scale and the desire, if not need to defend the protestors made violence almost necessary. Very, very sad. I do not blame the soldiers whose commanders whipped up an atmosphere of kill or be killed without reservation, yet more personal judgment and responsibility on each soldier’s part would have saved lives
Animals they tried to do what Hitler did to keep the people down .RIP never be forgotten
Central Drive, lad shot at us. A guy we nicknamed “mints”. Surname Murray. I shot back, in the opposite direction😀 Hit Cromore flats.😫 Piggery ridge a one star hotel😨 Surrounded by piss stained sandbags.
Nought like Vietnam 😫 Different conflict.
Great wee watch Seamus. Always enjoy your stuff!
Brilliant Seamus! You’ve a great memory. Never a dull moment at the Tilly box. 😃👍🏻
Ref The Good Samaritan Bombing 31st Aug 1988.. Murdered in the bombing, Sean (Eugene) Dalton, Shelia Lewis, Gerald Curran died 7 months later. The bomb was in a flat above Seans family home. His wife Polly died 5 weeks previously on the 24th July.
Weren’t the paras told NOT to fight a running battle into the bogside? Which is exactly what they did
I grew up at the tail end of the no go areas and remember the “we don’t need them” attitude as we policed ourselves
I don't understand how any community can police themselves
Jack Chapman was the army veteran who lived in the flat in Glenfada pk; ,he was married to May Murray and he gave a great account of the slaughter of the innocent people by the Paras to Mr Taylor. Mr Chapman was a real gentleman and his wife May was a lovely woman. God rest them all.
Thanks Gina.
Excellent! Well done to everyone involved in the making of this!
great tour seamus
Just the other day, I listened to a documentary about the gang warfare between Crips and Bloods in a few square miles worth of Los Angeles. That state of war ( how else to describe it?) has killed more people than The Troubles. The American response to Los Angeles ( and every other Democrat run city) has been to keep the police ( much less the army) out of it. That is jolly nice for the lovely , compassionate, egalitarian, non judgemental etc etc etc leftist politicians. Nice clean hands. Lovely clear consciences. In Britain meanwhile? We took the view that people in NI of whatever creed or colour are OUR people. That’s what it says on their passports. So. Armed gangs in the 1970’s were doing Los Angeles gangster things to our people. War ensued between HM Govt and the armed gangs. British soldiers , not just Paras, on several occasions, behaved in a manner not entirely unlike one more sectarian death squad. Yes. That happened. That was bound to happen. Every British citizen on the mainland has that on our conscience. Various other things were less than ideal from a mainland perspective. Huge expense, the lives of our soldiers and policemen , that sort of thing. Billions of £s, rivers of blood, depths of shame, partial surrender to gangsters at the end of it, the utter contempt of everybody else in the world at our expense. We could have said “leave them to it, let them sort it out by themselves”. But we did not. OUR people you see? Being British ( including Catholic and Republican and British) MEANS something see? Go ask people in Los Angeles about the alternative.
50 th anniversary and still No justice for bloody Sunday families. The dogs in the streets know who the names of soldier F and the vile commander of parachute reg who murdered slaughtered vile evil and not one held accountable since Saville enquiry. Soldier F in he'll I hope burning with sin. God bless bloody Sunday families then 1972 God bless to the grandchildren whom have taken up the campaign to get justice. Fantastic in depth uve given here on exactly where when the evil parachute reg colonel in chief Prince Charles monarchy of British Queen Ronnie flannigan how u sleep at night baffles me but the day will dawn when the full truth will be exposed to those who carried evil on 1972 Sunday civil rights and ended 13 innocent people. RiP 🙏
