Dr. Blodgett's Philosophy: Dentistry, redefined.
We believe in whole health optimization. Our team at Blodgett Dental Care understands that the mouth is an integral part of the body. Teeth originate from the same tissues which form your central nervous system. Treating the oral cavity as though it were separate from the rest of the body is inherently flawed and ultimately leads to compromised health. Our integrative biological approach to dental medicine considers the whole health of each patient.

2D and 3D X-rays: Which is Better?

That's exactly what caused my dental health to become worse. It's nice to see a dentist who understands this vital information and problem. Seems like a lot of dentists are more like the irs or some mafia group who go by theyre own set of rules and lawless ways.

What are your recommendations for implants or the best tooth replacement when saving a tooth and its roots aren't possible? I have 4 teeth that I've lost due to an abusive relationship I survived, 2 cracked teeth and a broken nose lead to those two teeth crumbling apart without getting help. I was too embarrassed after my first visit to the dentist after the abuse had happened. That first only dental office visit had me leaving sobbing in tears and i didnt really ever smile again after that. Ide been belittled and judged and just really really torn down mentally emotionally and it was just a nightmare experience ide never thought would ever of happened at a dentist. Ide always had good experiences with dentist and actually loved going to my dentist, up till that 1 visit. I just now starting to have the confidence, well determination and desperation to attempt to seek out help with my dental health and problems again. It's been a long painful 8 years, but luckily I've healed my emotional wounds and now just want to smile proudly again. What are the best tooth replacement options and are the zirconia implants as I've researched best? Or is that an area your familiar in or have knowledge of? And do you have any recommendations for a dentist who could help me find the best safest options for my 4 teeth replacements? I'm afraid since it's been so long the areas where ide lost those teeth have had bone loss and I know that's a big deal when it comes to getting implants and understand bone graphing will probably be necessary, unless a birdge of some sorts is what's recommended. I'm unsure and wanted to know what a biological dentist opinion is on this

Dentures are healthier than root canals because the root canal encapsulates the bacteria. The length of life is shorter comparing those who had root canals verses those who have dentures. The root canal is especially bad for the person with diabetes. But thankfully, we can choose to receive the Messiah as our Savior, and pray in His Name. // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah Asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).

All these 'fixes' are unbelievably expensive. Had a root canal and then regular checkups and cleanings. Just this week an adjacent molar came out. Bone tips remained in and now will have to be removed. Infection down to the bone that has to be removed. Pray they don't hit the nerve-they tell me. Nerve damage could leave me with no feeling on teeth, gums, lip - who knows. Man, I'm pretty worried. Can’t afford a periodontist or tens of thousands of dollars for implants. This stuff is nuts!!!

Y’all really need to watch “The Root Cause” documentary here on RUclips. It’ll change your life. I’m in my 30’s and very fit & healthy. But over the last year or so since my last root canal, I’ve come down with all sorts of random ailments. Joint pain, heart issues, and the constant 24/7 brain fog is enough to drive me insane. I watched that documentary and immediately found a holistic/biological dentist. My regular dentist looked at me like I was crazy when I said I wanted my 2 root canal teeth extracted. Went to a holistic dentist (amazing experience btw) got a 3D cone beam x-ray, and all sorts of tests. First thing she says? Those teeth need to come out, they are infected & ticking time bombs. Needless to say I get them extracted a week from today. Can’t wait to get my life/health back. Root canals are linked to all sorts of cancers, and especially heart disease/heart attacks. Please do your research. Go watch “The Root Cause” it could very well save your life. It saved mine. I’ll keep y’all updated once I rip these poison teeth outta my head. God bless 🙏🏼

I am curious, can any of these issues come from just a crown without a root canal. Reason being, i have been dealing with chronic hives for 4 months. My dermatologist asked me 3 questions. Have you had any issues with athletes foot, jock itch, or any dental issues? Meaning my body may be fighting something. Thing is, i did have a crown repaired a few weeks earlier, which hurt like hell when he disinfected it prior to replacing crown. Any thoughts?

With so much information online, each sides trying to prove what is better, it makes extremely difficult for a common man to make a uniformed decision. I have impacted wisdom tooth on both lower jaws that have cavities, the second molars too have cavities. My dentist has asked me to undergo RCTs. I already have Tinnitus since 2 years.I am just so frustrated, don't know whom to believe. I have had a healthy life prior to tinnitus. Don't want to have any more complications. Is there anyone who can give a genuine and honest advice for humanity sake? Note to doctors: Stop thinking about making business out of someone's situation. You all are playing with someone's life here. Like you have your loved one's and don't want anything to happen to them, the same goes for a common man. We have our loved one's too. Complete idiocy!! Tooth still gets it’s nourishment from bone and gingival vessels. If the tooth was truly dead it, immune system would simply push it out by degrading it bit by bit using macrophages. What you are saying is a disgrace for a dental profession. Proper root canal can make your tooth stay with you until your last breath. Just say you don’t know how to do it properly.

  • @lshulman58
    @lshulman58 4 месяца назад

So you advise NOT doing a root canal to begin with? It basically just leaves a dead tooth in your mouth? What percent of root canal teeth eventually get lost? Makes no sense to spend thousands of $ (root canal + crown) just to lose it in the end several years later. My dentist says I need RC. But I am not in pain (just a bit of sensitivity). Makes no sense for me to ruin my tooth when it's not causing a problem. I will wait until it is a bigger problem and then decide what to do. Right now, I imagine the RC could cause more issues than I have now. How long can I wait before doing something? I have had this sensitivity for over a year now - from the moment my dentist placed filling material (below gum line). In all this time the sensitivity has not gotten worse, though it has not gone away either. If it is not getting worse, what's the harm of leaving it be? At least the tooth is still getting nourished.

Based on what I read in the comment section, most people who got root canal treatment regretted it for having horrible experiences, and the tooth just caused more infection. So now I'm hesitating to have the treatment done as I don't want any health risks. Should I just get my tooth extracted and get an implant? Is it much safer and less expensive? I don't want to leave a gap since I just had my braces.

Had a root canal done close to a decade ago. About a year ago I noticed an abcess forming on my gumline beneath the tooth i had the root canal on. It took me up until a couple weeks ago to get to dentist due to having trouble finding one that takes my insurance. They said yes, the root canal is infected. I have to make an appontment with endodontist so they can determine if they can perform another root canal to 'save' the tooth or if it needs to be extracted. I wish they would just extract the thing. Not all, but it seems most people i see online who have had root canals always end up with an issue with it afterward. Im worried about having to get the root canal redone, only to develop another infection down the road. So, just take care of your teeth best you can to avoid getting to the point of needing a root canal - cuz it seems majority of the time it causes nothing but problems.

Get it yanked out they will push you to retreat they are not your friends, its how they make money. Once a root canal failed it never work the 2nd time on a redo the bacteria is in the dead tooth along the outside of the dead root you cannot get rid of it only clean up the overspill. They use terms like 'save natural tooth' its dead there is nothing natural about leaving dead organic matter in your body it will leak bacteria, it will cause sickness, cancer huge consistent pressure on your immune system.

Only in the past 2 months have I come to realize on my own that the root canals in my mouth are more than likely causing this continual Cytokine storm throughout my body! I have since found a Biological Dentist and have had 1 root canal extracted so far. I definitely have more energy, less brain fog and the pain in my right knee is gone after many years. I have 2 more to get extracted and I’m hoping that takes care of my respiratory, GI and sinus problems. This information needs to get out more! So sad that so many people are probably walking around with debilitating health problems, even cancer and they have no idea that it could be linked to an old root canal tooth! I mean, who would even think to link their illness to a tooth?!

Thanks for posting this. That’s a great example that I can show some people who are not fully convinced yet, but they have an open mind still. Thanks again.

I mean you should have a dentist do an extraction cause they have all the right tools, numbing agents, etc. But you could always grab a good friend and a pair of pliers. 😅

@@zackberesheim I wish! But I don't have any friends. The dentist who did my consultation said it seems deeply rooted in my jawbone and may need extra something....I forgot what he said. I just need this tooth pulled. 🤔 Do alien abductions specialize in root canals??

Not sure what issues this guy has seen but I had a root canal surgery done 34 years ago and it’s still as good as new, not all end badly.

Root canal tooth pain last week, face swelled right up talk about agony. Went hospital they won’t touch it or give antibiotics. Went back dentist they pulled it out. Now about ten days later right lip feels numb still that fuzzy numbness and even though lump gone down it still feels like a padding of food (though not) in side lower right jaw and still in pain though fading.

But nobody talks about The fact that actually all of us before having some teeth issues defffff have some traumatic and stresul events and of course if it goes for a loooong time how can it not Affect our teeth . Also something which is not Said in order for digestion to be good you literlly got to “Digest “ your life ,people ,works .anything you dont like affects your digestion. Now also having lots of trauma plus living in not safe enviroment for grow plus toxic work can absolutely not give you Health . So first, you need to get to a safe place where you can “feel and heal” How ? In this life nearly impossible .”Nearly”

Go to a veterinary supply, you can buy amoxacilin with no prescription and it’s the same as a dr prescribes, take it when the tooth hurts and it stops for a month or so

Yay great to see such a professional dentist as you against root canals! I am in the process of having mine pulled at the moment. 3 of them. All supee complicated. The first one didnt even come out in one go! I have to go back after a wk of ABs to get it out. But actually all this distress will be worth it. Because my health has been so bad (im 39 and lump in my stomach can barely eat anything i like), and i just know getting these out will be a game changer! Even just moving it has improved my symptoms.. 2.5 teeth left to go! 😂

Holistic dentistry is BS, and so is this video. “Doctor” Blodgett, you should be ashamed. The fact that you’re straight out lying to patients and going against peer reviewed literature is so sad. Let me guess, once we decide to “remove” a tooth that’s “absorbing bacteria” and spreading it all around the body, we should place an implant in there which has no PDL, blood supply, or nerve, and is even more disconnected to the body than the original tooth was? I think you should take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself if spewing misinformation and lies about dental treatment is benefitting your patients. Spoiler alert: it’s not.
