So, i bought English Ivy, Virginia creeper and Boston Ivy, here in Buffalo, NY.,. Zone 6. I want it outside for a chain link fence privacy in the city. As soon as i planted it, they got bitten up leaves bad, and of course weeds overcame them, I sprayed with Neem, seems better., Will these plants survive the winter, stay evergreen and mostly grow big for multiple feet?

They have been the easiest plant I’ve ever grown. Have two that are over 3 foot tall.

my croton is my easliest plant, i dont understand all the fuss. my even bloomed, indoors!

FYI if you want the Aloe plant, to stop leaning, and being top heavy. Just add small rocks on top of the soil, and it should sit perfectly! 🙂

Ive had a Croton for about 6 weeks. It sits on a west window window sill. Its given me about 3 or 4 new leaves but they are all green with little yellow. I love the red of the 3 bottom leaves but not getting any 😢

Self watering pots are actually not good. Terracotta pots are best. You water by drowning it, then you let it dry out COMPLETELY, and then drown it again. Theyre desert plants, they go through droughts and then when the rain comes, it POURS, and then back to a drought.

Thank you for this video. I have grown roots from the leaves but it has not grown into a stem or stalk. The leaves have been in soil for 3 months but no stem nor stalk developing. Any advice?

That is not a good pot for aloe vera. You need a self draining pot. There are much better pots for aloe vera.

how can i save my croton plant when it drops

I'm not a croton person but I got a couple (Zanzibar) just to put in my aquariums as contrast to my pothos & peace lilies (submerged roots only) to suck up the extra nutrients. ^^

What do you fertilize your crotons with?

Can you send me some croton cuttings?

I was worried cause my lost a leaf.

What about Zone 6? I'm in Upstate NY and have had several of these that didn't survive until I put them in a humidity tent. Now I want them to grow so I am focusing on putting them as close to a South or West facing window.

Please tell us what humidity level you keep them under? What sunlight exposure?
