- Aloe Vera Indoor Care 💚 The most popular succulent, Aloe Vera, is a favorite among all plants. Aloe vera plant care is simple! The aloe vera is a plant that is best suited for outdoors, but during the cooler seasons of the year, fall, winter, and some of spring, this plant must be protected from harsh outdoor weather. Aloe plants are very popular in year around mild climates and thrive in near desert and tropical climates.
In this video we talk about the keys to successful aloe vera maintenance indoor and best tips how to grow aloe vera indoor. These tips will help you take better care of your aloe vera. If you'd killed a few like I have, fret not! I have tips, and this information is for you!

What do you use aloe vera for? aloe vera gel?

What do you love most about aloe vera plants?
I used to cut a piece and rub the aloe on my skin to see if it really worked that way when I was a kid. I think I saw it on TV once 😂
@@SmartMoneyAnimation 😄that's something I would have done as a kid too 😂
I like that I have an immediate salve to put on a burn that soothes and heals
Thanks for the tips I'm new to plants did u buy the plant in its form or you started from the seed
You can make smoothies with it as its good for digestion, gurd and IBS. Some people just take thin slice and goes down easily follow with orange juice its kills the after taste. If you use only the gel its not so bitter.
It is so cute how you are holding it so close like a baby, a puppy or like you have your arm around a child. Adorable. ❤
You really love your plants like "babies". You made me want to go get one today! Great personality too. Thank you for the tips.
Aww great! I’m happy to help. Thank you! That made my day! 🤗💚
I love how you held, talked about and handled your aloe plant 🪴 like it was a child. You're very engaging ☺️

I have killed a few. One thing that has helped me is to know when the plant’s dormant season and growing season is. Not all succulents are the same. Some grow in the winter time and some have a summer growing season. When a succulent is in it’s dormant season it needs less water and less light than during it’s growing season. Find a succulent site that lists the growing season. If you do not know what the name of your succulent is then try to identify it and match it to the list.
Just purchased 2 small aloe plants and your vid definitely gave great instructions how to grow one. Was wondering about how much to water them but you answered that question. Enjoyed the vid.
It's the crown in my garden. I have several and have planted, and saved, many more and given away countless. I live in the Caribbean, so it's easy for me to maintain them. They just want to be, and the bigger the better.
Thank you!
It definitely makes any place more inviting!
for sure! thanks for watching!
Always been so interested in growing aloe vera too! Very timely vid!
Yes go for it! 💚
Hello-- Michigan here. I literally just brought my plant inside. I repotted it New potting soil. No name brand. I placed it by the sliding patio door! It did sooo well outside. It about as big as the one she is showing. I'm praying it all works out. Fingers/eyes crossed.
I have an aloe vera plant and I love it so much! I got it from Trader Joes, and it's grown so well!!
Trader Joes has some surprising goodies sometimes. Great!
I'm loving your energy, my friend! I just got my first aloe vera plant... wish me luck! I mean, I live in Texas but still.
Love your video you have so much personality I learnt a lot about aloe plants. Hopefully I can save mine.
A lot of good information. You are very thorough.
Glad it was helpful! I appreciate that! 🤗
Great advice! Thanks for sharing.
Of course. Thank you for watching 💚
I love that you are not giving up on trying to care for plants and you got another aloe plant despite killing two. I am a new subscriber here, I love plants but have killed so many already, most recently I killed a basil plant I bought from the grocery store. I thought I would get basil for life but it barely lasted a couple of weeks :(
Hi Sabrina! Welcome! Aww don't worry, basil can be difficult, many herbs in general at times. Yes, I love having aloe veras, crazy how it took 4 to get the care right lol. The first two aloes I had simultaneously so they dwelt together and died together. RE-live and learn 💚
Loved your video and tips - I didn't know you could do much to protect the aloe veral plants at winter. Newly subscribed- looking forward to more videos like these!
Oh wonderful! Yep, they can be resilient with proper care. Thank you for watching.
Thank you.
I've always wanted an aloe vera plant! Loved the advice! Can't wait to try this! :)
They're amazing! Thank you for watching!
@@olgurl9857 does light hit the top of your fridge? A plant stand is best, that way. you can access the plant easier and avoid dust collecting up higher.
“I’ve killed three!” 😂 thanks for the video you answered all my questions!
Thank you for sharing! I use raw aloe gel for so much! I literally use it every week in my hair
oh wow, that's cool! I like to use the gel on my skin.
Thank you the video was very helpful.
Hi Mike! Thank you for watching. I am glad it was helpful. 💚
That exactly what i needed to save my aloe vera!
Yay!
OMG! talkin to your plant, like its your dog, lol💖💖💖
Yes! 🙃😄
My mom kept the aloe Vera plant in basement for like 5 months and the plant is in really bad shape so I am watching these type of vids and learning because I heard it’s really good for ur skin. .YOUR VID WAS AMAZING THANKS.
Hey thanks for watching! In the basement, oh my!😱 I am so happy this video was helpful! 💚
Thankyou
Your plant looks awesome!
Thank you, I try to keep it happy!
I loved this! Even though I don't have an aloe vera, I still learned two things for my current plants. Which I need since I do tend to kill off my plants slowly but surely. Thanks for sharing:)
Wonderful! I am happy the tips helped! Thank you for watching!
Just in time! My aloe vera is looking a little sad so thank you so much for the tips!

Alô Veras become the love of my ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ the love of my heart !!!
You explained it well‼️
Thank you! I'm glad the message was clear. 😃
You have inspired me to try this plant again. I have one i plan to salvage (she is not dead yet...) Im going to water FAR less frequently this time around and will give her some light cycle(s) to make sure she stays happy this time. Great video.
Thank you for watching! Absolutely, they are worth giving another try. This aloe is still going strong, it is on a summer vacation outside, and it is a lot bigger now. 💚
I put all my plants outside during the daytime. I’m in a good spot for sunshine. I even do the same for my snake plant and venus fly traps. I give them the vip treatment. And your correct aloe vera is a go to medical plant. I had used the gel I had for a wound and mixed it with peroxide.
Thank u for this mine should be arriving soon and I’m nervous
Thanks for video
Useful info u obviously are enthusiast about Aloe Vera i have 3 tiny ones they keep me company cheers from Scotland

The shape of it and everything we can do with it too!
Yes!
My aloe Vera is very leggy and it was killing me to know why! Thank you for the tips :)
Great. thanks for watching! I am happy to help 💚
I just got an aloe Vera plant this weekend
I leave mine on the window sill and forget about it. It loves it and got 2 pups as well from it. I water about once a month or less frequently. I am quite lucky, I live in the South UK. Once I put it out in the sun but it was too strong and started to turn red, then I overwatered it and the leaves got soggy, but it survived. It is about 4-5 years old
Great video (:
Thank you Jordan! 💚
I start to love aloe vera because i have hair fall. I plant so much aloe veras
Aloes are incredibly resourceful!

You did a great job...I hope to get my Aloe Vera that thick.
I have a lovesong for you..
Thank you friend! I am so excited about its growth! 💚
Hi, beautiful video. Do you use any fertiliser for your aloe, seaweed or other?
Hi Emms! I use all purpose fertiliser or fertisiler for succulents.
I clearly watered mine to death!!! Thank you for these tips because I love having one for sunburns.
It happens. Yeah the gel is so soothing, perhaps give it another try.
This may sound crazy but I just heavily water my Aloe every 3- 4 months (to mimic desert like conditions). I had it 5 years now and I keep it in my south facing window. It gets soo much heat and sun all year around, that it turned Blue lol.
Heyyyy , Love The Video! Your Aloe Looks Amazing 💚 Where Did You Get It From?? And Can You Possibly, Do More Videos On Aloe ? The Progress Of Growing Maybe? How Yours Got So Big Especially! (Ppl love It!!) But Yasss Good To See You On Here My Fellow Sistaaa ! 🖤 Keep It Up 🤞🏽 New Subscriber 🥰
Hi there, and thank you so much! Yes I would be happy to make more videos on aloe vera. This plant is so wide and top heavy now! I really need to repot it lol. I will do an update on it soon.💚
@@greenmable475 💚 No Problem Girl! I Love Your Videos, I’ve Watched All I Can With Your Aloe In Them And Your House Plant Tours 🙂 So Yesss I’ll Be Waiting!! Lol
Hi! I’ve had my aloe plant for awhile now, it’s still in its original nursery container that’s about 3 inches tall. The leaves look healthy but I’m noticing that since it’s been growing some leaves aren’t as firm and are falling backwards. I’m wondering if it’s outgrown its pot and maybe needs more soil so I just wanted to know when you recommend getting a bigger pot? Thanks! 🙂
Hi There! Thanks for watching! Yes, it needs a larger pot. Mine is overdue for repotting and is doing the same thing.
This is my 2nd time watching this video and it seems like I learn something each times. I can't believe that I have 7 variety of aloes and they are still alive after 1 year. I'm a newbie to plants. I must be doing something right. My favs are succulents and cacti. I wish I had a greenhouse or a yard to really experience my miniature green thumb, so I have everything under grow lights. When I first got this one particular aloe it was a dark green, now it's lighter in color. I'm just wondering am I doing something wrong?
Mine sits in a southern window. I keep forgetting to water it. When it dries out and gets root bound, it puts out “pups”. I re pot them and give them away.
I liked the video sis but you could have recommended some of your best soils and maybe so good nutrients. Thanks for the video though. I know now not to over water thanks 😊
2:49 on the soil recommendation.
We all want the windows! In this house! Compromise! Hahahahaha
In the winter time is the light in the house good enough for the plants if you don't have alot of sunshine coming in? Thanks so much for sharing Amen May God always bless and keep you going strong and healthy full of life Amen Thanks again God bless ya
Hi thanks for watching. In the fall and winter, try to place your aloe in a room with a south facing window, south facing windows are sunniest during the winter time in the northern hemisphere. Hope this helps!
I love aloe vera plants but I can't grow them. I've killed every aloe vera plant that I've purchased no matter where I've purchased it from. It can be from Home Depot, Lowes, Food Lion, Walmart, etc they've all died!! I've realized that I under water mine (I really don't water it at all) and it doesn't get much sun. When it's outside it burns when it's inside, it doesn't get enough light🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I'm trying to save the one I have. It has only 3 thin stems on it that are and dull green. It has given me baby aloe twice and they died too. I have it sitting in a cup of water hoping to help revive it. I purchased a NEW aloe vera plant on Feb 9, 2021.....wish me luck & a prayer cause I'll need it!!! 😁
Absolutely! Thank you for watching and welcome! 💚I hope the video was helpful. I don't water mine at all indoor, and it sits right at a sunny window. Be sure to use cacti/succulent soil. Best wishes, keep me updated. I'm happy to help! 💚
I have my aloe in a plastic pot and it's doing great. I just brought it in the house for winter. I built my own soil with vermiculite to lighten it and for drainage. Fyi: the rings under your plastic pots are areas to punch for drainage. Since it's inside now... I think I need to put a saucer and rocks under it to mimic the self watering you have. It started turning white... Not enough light. I bought a grow light hoping it works. Do you know if grow lights are effective for them? I'm new to growing aloe.
I think grow lights can help sustain their need for light during the winter. Best wishes! 💚
I also have this kind and this big aloe vera here at home and it also loves leaning lol. I thought mine is dying because it is leaning but seems it is normal hehe.
It's like they are trying to tell us something, non-verbal cues. 😄
I love how you hold the aloe vera like a baby! I love the pot you are using and your explanation is very good. Thank you for sharing your failures and your exciting win. Do you have to put less soil? Is that why she is tilting and moving?
He's my big baby 🤗thank you for watching, I'm happy you enjoyed it. Sometimes they tilt with whichever direction the sunlight is. I do try to. nudge the soil to help balance it out in hopes of it not leaning too much and becoming unbalanced.
I've killed 3 aloe veras and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong 😭 this video helped a lot!
💚
Thanks for watching! 🤗💚
Aloe Vera is just so amazing and has so many uses, but I've never been able to make friends with one LOL. I hope by using your tips I will be able to change my luck 🌱♥️
aww, I hope so. sure, give it another try!
You’re adorable ☺️
I think Aloes are the plants for me! So easy to maintain and grow
They really are 💚☺️
Are the lines on the outside of the pot used for soil measurement?
can i start my aloe vera plant with one frm the store? like buy a leaf and stick it in the soil?
Possible, but I'd recommend starting with a small aloe vera that is already planted if you've never had one before.
I just got an aloe Vera plant. It’s a small one. I have some incredible south facing windows I think it will thrive in. Thank you for your tips. I will be getting a pot for it like you showed. I’m very nervous about it but I’m giving it my best shot!
Hi Amanda! Thank you for watching AND commenting! 💚 absolutely! I recently placed my aloe outdoor for the spring and summer since the weather is pretty warm where I am. The selfwatering pot works amazing for this plant. Happy growing!
LOL I love your humor! What do you use your aloe for??
😄☺️ I use it for my skin.
Even in winter time... Is should I put near window??
Thx for the answer...
Lov your video👍👍👍🙏♥️
especially during the winter. thank you! 💚
Mine is dying as we speak…..I had a sore on my eye I out it on and it’s way better…….my mom loved the healing properties!
Aww. Mine is actually not doing too hot right now because it has outgrown that green pot by so much, leaves are falling out of it as I speak. I will be working on an update video on repotting an overgrown aloe very soon.
