How much torque on that channel lock
I have an 03 F350 XLT 6.0 crew cab 4x4 8’ bed which I purchased new for 36k. Don’t use it much as it has 59,000 miles. Almost 100% factory stock. I’m in the process of replacing the front cover with the updated version. I had a coolant leak from the heater pipe which rusted through and was so corroded into the cover the mounting flange tore off when trying to chisel it loose. I do want to keep it since it doesn’t have any body rust and I love that’s it’s a 6 speed manual with manual transfer case and manual hubs. I just rebuilt my 4.0 93 Ranger engine at 189k. . I ordered the truck new. Best $16k I ever spent. 4.0 is easy compared the the 6.0. AND parts are a fraction of the cost! Found 2 complete factory old stock new 93TM cylinder heads for $650 delivered. Still in Ford’s foil desiccant sealed packaging.

Hey man I’m a bit late to the video but the transmission 47re for my 01 does the fmvb have to be wired up different since it’s a 4 speed overdrive cause I heard you say your toggle is lock up and 4th gear. Sorry for the confusion question I just don’t want to wire it bad and blow the transmission 😂

FYI : the “ticking noise “ is ACTUALLY 100% NORMAL!!! Crazy, because it sounds like absolute shit; but according to Ford, and the Engine builders association of America: it’s completely no, and it requires “no repair or maintenance “. … too weird, right. But it’s really a thing.
Doesn’t surprise me, probably say it’s ok so when it fails it’s out of warranty. This one had 230k miles on it so can’t really complain.

@@alfredodiego3920 Breh, this is a REPAIR. Not trying to make anything fast here. For that OEM is best. Why am I gonna have my customer spend 5x the cost on a daily driver truck 🤦♂️

Switch to the new Valvoline Restore oil. It will clean all that garbage out. And dont ever run more than 5,000 miles on an oil change.

rough for specialty services.. they know you cant go anywhere else so throw out some insulting numbers. not diesel but quoted $1500 for labor only on the timing belt of my car. bought the damn motor for $500, if i fuck it up ill just buy another lmao

My 5r110 made a audible pop. Lost all gears. No noise when In gear. Fluid looked new. Nothing in the pan. Solenoids ohm'd good. What am I looking for?

My 5r110w has no reverse "at all" hard jump/lunge forward when going into drive, driving the truck down the road it'll take the 2 gears then slip... once it slips tow/haul light will blink then it wont slip forward gears anymore just no over drive or reverse from then on. Any tips greatly appreciated!
You said you replace the heads each build. What heads do you normally use if you're doing modest upgrades to the engine?

Do you have a link or name of a cost effective rebuild/overhaul kit? I have the cab off my truck, doing a full rebuild and bulletproof of the engine. Not adding a bunch of horsepower, just want it in good condition. While the cab is off and engine removed, I might as well do a tranny overhaul as the truck has 225,000 miles on it. What is na decent kit to overhaul the transmission. I don't need high performance, i just want the tranny to last with the engine for a couple hundred thousand more miles without needing any major repairs. Yes it is! I did it to My 04 and just bought a 05+ intake elbow and took whole flap assembly bull shit out
