Why We NEED More Games Like Stellar Blade

Understanding Elden Ring's World Design

Glad I tought I’m going mad. Two months since i maxed out (played trough all the endings) and i cant move on. Every time i think of CP2077 my heart shrinks, feeling a sad feeling deep inside. Missing the city, the characters and specially V. I’m connected tovthe game, to V, to Panam to everybody. Cant move on, and I think i never will….

If you like the world of cyberpunk 2077 and edgerunners you would probably like the show altered carbon on Netflix, it's set in a cyberpunk world where nobody dies truely because everyone's consciousness is stored on a hard drive in the back of their head and they call their bodies sleeves. When someone dies if they're poor a sleeve that they don't get to choose is provided to them it could be a sleeve of an old lady for a young person or vice versa and the rich have their own custom sleeves that they have designed with modifications and such... It's a very interesting concept and world... It's basically what would happen if we were able to never die and always come back from the dead...

Not that deep of a take but there’s something about Night City which is oddly familiar almost hauntingly so, like its the most dangerous concepts of modern life, Corporate power, monopolistic capitalism, political corruption, to me at least almost brought to their logical conclusion

if you want more of this world, listen to the audio book Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence . its is narrated by the female voice actress for V in the video game, Cherami Leigh. She paints an amazing world with her words and really brings the characters to life. Plus her voice is so unique and brings me into the cyberpunk world instantly.

Totally agree, Cyberpunkk 2077 has been a game that has marked me in my life. This game came at a “key” moment in my personal development; my time as a student was coming to an end and I had to face my independence as an adult in a new city far from my family and friends. And this game accompanied me on this hard road of growing up, it helped me when I started to feel lonely, when I failed in my first job, when I didn't know where my place was and it taught me that you have to enjoy the small moments with the people you care about and to take care of them. It also taught me that ambition, in many cases, is an empty dream that does not bring happiness. For all this and more, THANK YOU V and Night City.

I remember I lost all interest in Anthem when it came out that common level 1 starter weapons were doing more damage than stuff people spent dozens of hours farming for. Kind of defeats the purpose of a looter shooter. Also I feel like Warframe gives you an extremely similar experience but just leagues better. I tried to play Anthem last year on PS4 but due to issues with my linked EA account it was literally impossible. Waste of 5$ and makes me mad when I think about it to this day.

I know it's probably late to comment under this beautiful video, but i'm gonna do it anyways. I just feel i have to (English isn't my native language, so sorry for any misspelled words etc.) I am Polish and quite young still and at the time Cyberpunk came out i just couldn't afford because of university and i haven't got a pc that could run this game. I heard about all the backlash the game got for it's bugs, i even did project at uni about CDPR and their financial situation after the release of the game. Few years passed and suddenly at the start of this year i saw that Cyberpunk was on Steam winter sale still and my beloved wife bought it for my birthday, and since i loved the Witcher 3 i knew the game will be good. Very good even. Boy, that was an understatement. I play the game since early January and i cannot stop playing. I got chilles from just opening the main menu and listening to the soundtrack - and i knew this game was for me. My first playthrough was with male V nomad since i wasn't familiar with Cyberpunk genre so it would fit perfectly as start. Playing through the game made me realised that it isn't so much different than real life in terms of modern problems, both with society and the government. I love the climate of the middle ages where Witcher takes place, but it wasn't even close with immersion. You can almost relate from your experience to the stuff that happens in Night City. As I was making my playthrough the game made me realise one aspect of it that made the game so immersive and i rarely see anybody talking about it - and that is First Person Perspective. You don't feel like you control a character in a game, you feel playing YOURSELF in this game and i mean it. It makes it so you feel every decision you make happen to you, not the character you're playing. I love all the characters that you meet and do missions with, i love the storytelling of the game, i love the music, i love the graphics. I don't think i have ever played a game this good. And what is important to me in this game that it feels like it's made with passion and not for the younger audience. I feel like the older you are playing this game, more you can appreciate it's narrative and story of every character. It's the only game in my life that made me question my life decisions and made me cry. I think i can see parts of myself in Panam, Judy, River, Johnny, Viktor, Misty, Jackie, Takemura, Kerry, Evellyn.... It's like a puzzle that completes itself as you progress through the game. As you mentioned, every character has a soft, sensitive side that you discover by going through their stories. I got so emotionally moved and sometimes destroyed that i am still playing the game in a way that all of them get the best possible outcomes. I wouldn't be able to hurt them or their feelings, it just feels wrong. I know i shouldn't prioritize any character but when i was close to finishing the game it was the time i did Judy's side quests.....After hearing that she's leaving Night City i felt so heartbroken i only did the ending where i gave the body to Johnny (cried afterwards seeing him showing respect at the columbarium) and i imidiately started female V run so i could keep Judy in the city. I am on my fifth save right now and i'm still discovering new things i didn't see earlier. I need to finally finish DLC all endings and possibilites, so i can cry again and again.... CDPR made masterpiece. I love it with every inch of my heart. Poles are amazing storywriters - i doubt anyone will be able to reach this level of greatness. PS. Sorry for long ass post, i felt like i needed to let it out at last. Amazing video, keep up the good work!

I played this game alooot more than I should've as well at launch despite all of the problems it had. It was a lot of fun, so I feel confident in saying this "game" was abandoned where others weren't because it wasn't really a game but like a very well "polished" alpha concept. The game has a lot of ideas thrown in and bolted together. Good ideas and bad ideas bolted together in a way meant to get it out the door and now that it was out in the world it would be a matter of just getting fan feedback and refining the experience and making new content, but I'm almost certain they had no idea how to work it or what to do next. So with the good and the bad bolted together in a way they barely understand, might have made it too difficult to get anything done. Change one thing and something else breaks entirely type of deal, the problems may have been just too fundamental and I remember reading back then that management was pretty much all over the place. I wish somebody else would pick up the concept cause it was a lotta fun

cdpr is a solid company and i will immediately buy all their games and larians games on release and those are the only 2. Yea cyberpunk was buggy but it was an amazing game when they fixed it and on my top 5-10 games ever. Now i just gotta figure out how to get mods going. I hope in the next one though they give more options to interact and more choices that actually have consequencs and change the game. Also more romance options instead of just panam but she was a solid choice but after the romance got bland and boring until the end game.

Stellar Blade is a guitar - easy to play, yet hard to master. There are layers of depth to its story and core metaphors that few will understand...unless you happen to be into mythology, philosophy, metaphysics, and know a little Greek, along with the meaning of virgin births in myth. Mostly, though, it delivers such astonishing feedback in combat for getting things just right. Plus Eve is cute and the outfits...oh...my....gawd! Art direction is outstanding as are many of its original soundtracks. It's a tour de force and proof that, yes, videos games can be art.
