    Thanks for the video. Did you do anything differently on the LEFT side? I seem to be having lots of problem mounting the Aux light on that Wunderlich bar with the extra hole. The Left OEM Aux light bar has a special steel molding with screw treads inside and that's the only hole. When I placed the Wunderlich bolt through it, the lock nut and the bolt can screwed all the way in but it does not lock the black color Aux mounting bar from freely moving.

    Superb video! I have just purchased the exact same RT and have been fretting over whether to fit the Wunderlich bars. Some reviewers point to YT for videos on how to fit them and yours is spot on. Happy riding!

    I'm a little late, but nicely done! Your filming was excellent showing detail up close and your dialog was clear and concise. I have a 2024 model with my name on it coming in February. Hopefully sooner, because it's really hard waiting for it, haha. They are pretty expensive, but I do plan on fitting the Wunderlich bars as I prefer their mounting and aesthetics to the Ilium Works version, even though Ilium's headquarters is just down the street from me.

    When I removed idler shaft that holds balancer chain tensioner (doohickey) A washer on the inner shaft fell off behind the inner case, down by the sump. How did that washer fall off and get to where it did? I'm referring to the assembly you advised us to zip-tie "to keep assembly as one entity" Hope that was clear, thank you.

    Very good video.. I have some Givi bars to fit to mine and whilst I am sure they will be a bit different to fit, to these, this is a very useful video so that I have some idea of what to do/expect. The instructions that come with the Givi Bars is absolute rubbish. I cant find a video for fitting them on an R1250RT 19/20 with fog lights. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. I have this one saved!

    Great video, very helpful. My only issue is the left side fog light wire harness is an inch too short. I haven’t figured out how to create relief in the harness to allow it to connect. I’ve removed a couple zip ties to no avail.

      I just installed the bars on my 2022 RT and I have the SAME issue! Left side fog light wire is too short to reach the new position of the light! Did you find a solution for this issue?

    • @retiredjetmechanic6219
      @retiredjetmechanic6219 Год назад

      @@adferrao4040 I guess we know it’s a design flaw. I order a set of fog light brackets, but they’re coming from China and won’t be here for another 2 weeks. I went to my dealer and they didn’t have any brackets and didn’t find anything I thought would work with a quicker delivery time. Here’s the description “2 Pcs Motorcycle Driving Aux Light Fog Lamp Bracket For 25mm Mounting Diameter”

    • @robertkennedy3230
      @robertkennedy3230 3 месяца назад

      Same issue here. The left side fog light wire is about an inch too short also, 2020 RT. Unless somebody finds a resolution to this design flaw, all I can think of is to extend it by splicing and adding two inches of wire.

    • @retiredjetmechanic6219
      @retiredjetmechanic6219 3 месяца назад

      I didn’t like how far forward the fog light was pushed using then OEM mount, plus i didn’t want to splice the original wire harness. I found mounts, from a company in China, which clamp to the crash bars. The wire harness is just long enough to connect to the fog light.

    • @themotorcycleshed380

      It might be worn valve guides... In which case the smoking would probably stop once the engine is warmed up as the valve stems and guides expand slightly when hot...

    hello everyone! i've recently rebuilt my klr 650 engine using the clymer manual (I suggest everyone should have it, really useful) and still your video is as detailed as a written page, congrats! Unluckily I used a cheap gasket for the head and now after only 500kms I need to change it (with an original Kawasaki new spare). I was wandering if I need to get the engine out of the frame or not.. are the bolts in line with the frame or is it possible? thanks for any advice! keep up with the good videos! cheers
