I found a circular spring in the oil seal on the clutch cover that looks like it was on the right end of the crank shaft on my 2005. Is this a mod or a later model addition? It looks like it goes in the little groove about 1cm from the end.
The most useful thing in the whole of the re build is the exploded parts diagrams in the official workshop manual - these are also available on the Kawasaki original spares website ( for all Kawasaki's too) kawasakioriginalparts.com - It gives the definitive order of reassembly. I get my parts form Cradley Kawasaki here in the UK - They are online and ship internationally. If you are based outside Europe customs duty TAX will be payable upon import into your country. I would have thought that your countries Kawasaki dealership network should have access to spare parts as all are originally shipped from Japan. Ebay is the other source of parts. This is a great video series, thanks! When reinstalling the balancer, is the very tip of the crankshaft supposed to be flush up against the balancer?
