HOWDY, Sela! 👋🏼 That's interesting! Almost every time I talk to someone about the "moonstones" along that part of the coast, I hear them being referred to as something completely different. @@CacklingChick Yes! Rocks and shells, along with driftwood and whatever else I could find. Agate, jasper, jade, petrified wood and shells like abalone which is very scarce now. Also lots of sand dollars of all sizes down to dime size. Pretty little rock oyster shells too with the pearly green insides. My spirit lives there still

@@CacklingChick Yes it's abalone. Very rare these days. Like finding hen's teeth! When I was a teen, the beaches were covered with abalone shells. it's sad

Thank you! Thought so. Yes, it's definitely rare to find. I've heard stories of the awesome rocks on Moonstone Beach, but sadly, it's mostly pea-sized gravel now. I have some videos on some Moonstone Beach finds, though. Incredible finds! Thanks again!

Everything you said is EXACTLY why nail polish IS a perfectly valid option for polishing rocks instead of all the hassles that come with tumbling. Wow, it's like you had a camera over my head today!!
