You see, I'm bad at the game so even after the video where you show combo lines working without terror incarnate, I still kept playing it after I realized it basically just gives me a safety net whenever I misplay 😂 Which is quite often... With the extra deck space after lacrima ban though I might cut terror incarnate again because 3 phantoms accomplishes the same job of giving me a backup plan and just does it better than terror.

Interested in the updated deck profile. One thing I am noticing is that these lines are just too unrealistic or they get stopped early by 1 HT. Find myself having to just draw the extender and even that doesn't get you to a strong enough board to go for game in the next turn where the opponent is able to just recur and combo off.

Is there a pure Yubel post ban list coming?

Have you been struggling against runick at all? Saturday I played it 4 times and I just couldn’t break threw power sink. Is there any tips you have for playing against it with out side deck cards?

For the new banlist (i dont play fiendsmith), I run full bystial package including regained (easy draw with squirmer), and ive found it can shut down fiendsmith if they only run one sequence, banishing it from GY with a bystial helps level it out a good bit. Against tenpai, im still messing around a fair bit, but I'm aiming at a more burn approach, using ghost mourner, and the first rank 10 train, since we go second against them anyway when we can. General sidenote: personally, i like kaijus in yubel rather than nib, as the dark fiend kaiju works as a fiend target and dark target for effects, and the easy body on opponents board is always nice, i main deck it (entirely because i lose way too many dice rolls) but its defo a side deck card for me.

Can we see a pure build next? Most of us don’t have extra money for Fiendsmith Ive been a hardcore unchained player and yubel user for a longtime. The fiendsmith stuff really took away my passion for the decks. I stepped away from it for a bit. FS is great and all but not worth the money.

On that note of yubel we had like 5-6 yubel players today for our world champion celebration event 14 players as we had a few at other shops too. Crazy boards

Watched it twice, one fully uninterrupted then a second as I write this comment. - I love the Bystials in the list. However, with Grass legal and Thrust everywhere, I have shifted to D.D Crow for a change. Tenpai was also a big reason for that, since if they Shifter they wont be able to OTK anyway (unless they get a god hand) - Was "one for one" that painful (pun intended) even in the handtrap build? Going second and -1 is rough but the potential is still there, especially with shenanigans such as getting Lurrie, spinning it, then getting it again with Tract giving you 2 extra bodies if we count Closed Heaven. - Squirmer should be at 3 everyone - Love the Fiendsmith ratios, use exactly the same - About Blossom on Tract, I assume they don't want to allow any LIGHT Fiends in the GY, in case you top deck an Engraver leaving it with no fodder. Personally I use it on Requiem and vs Yubel on Eater or Samsara (whatever comes first.... in TCG not MD f*ck Gamma) - The only benefit of boardbreakers I typically use is setting them for Sharvara when not needed. For example a Talent etc allowing me to go for Rage. But this is bad for you because of Chamber. In my boardbreaker list I loved Eclipse Droplet Metaltronios, while also playing Ogre (usable both turns, hits Desirae and IP, handtrap to counter Tenpai) - The issue with siding extra deck cards has always been the sleeves. Playing both main and extra with the same sleeves is the best solution. But if you don't, your side deck needs to match the main deck, so you need to change sleeves twice, taking away the focus of siding itself. This also informs the opponent on what to expect (for example this was a tell about Super Poly in the past). Personally about siding I take things one step further so I share as little information as possible, by combining the full side + main and shuffling, then removing the 15 most useless cards so the opponent doesn't know how much I've sided. A lot of times I've done this despite essentially siding 0 cards or surprising them with who goes first. I believe this topic is severely underrated, and a separate skill entirely "playing your opponent" that can even transfer to other TCGs. - A good Tenpai player will not care about Azurune (tldr force "miss the timing"). All these "summon negation" effects use "when" for balancing reasons (for example Solemn Judgment using "if" would have been able to negate the summon of Albion after BraFu resolved). And while typically they take advantage of "after this effect resolves, x summon" when they are Chain Link 1, they can do nothing on CL2+. So as the tenpai player already needs 2 dragons to perform the synchro summon, they can go CL1 and CL2, perform the synchro summon higher on the chain, then when CL1 resolves there aren't any appropriate materials doing nothing while it was the last action to happen, leading to the dreaded "missed the timing" for Azurune. - Can't stop laughing at Sanct. I bet A LOT of people have the same experience "bp game bug?" heck I've done it twice and the 2nd time was also IRL (that I gave up on a game 2 because it would take a lot of time to repair the gamestate, despite me being the one to realize this) Personally I love those detailed videos. I wouldn't mind even "unedited" ones similar to livestreams because I value your opinions on cards and feedback more than the "actual" content. Can't wait for more Yubel Battlegrounds.

hey i really like your videos and i am also playing yubel myself atm. The only thing is that i think your a bit to low on handtraps. I dont know about the 3 squirmer and i also think you could go a bit above 10 since yuble has some bricks anyways and still got a lot of one card starter Really nice video again!!!

NOTE* (Azurune against tenpai is good but its not entirely true whats said in the video regarding that! the tenpai player can make it miss timing if hes smart! if you pair azurune with something else or you have more then JUST azurune, then its good!) Thoughts on siding other traps for certain matchups? The Silhouhatte Trick might be better for certain matchups and the angel statue for others but not sure if worth it.

Hey trinity! How playable do you feel this deck profile (without the fiendsmith engine) is when gates is at 1 now? I really enjoy a fiendsmithless Yubel and was wondering if you think its still somewhat competative
