    Hey my guy, good video as always but I've always had this question about your build of the deck that i still can't answer...
    So you make promethean princess, revive sharvara and then link those off in duelittle chimera. Then what do you do about that promethean princess when you get it onto the field again? Do you pop it with the sharvara you added back with the chimera? That's the only way I see of getting rid of the fire lock without running a second fire link monster like phoenix

    My friend and I kinda found a good out to Yubel using Ash on Nightmare Pain (to bait the Phantom), then using Nibiru when you try to summon Sharvara. It's a pretty decent one-two combo that often leaves Yubel with very little left, but to just summon another Phantom and pass.
    Thoughts?

    • @TrinityYGO
      @TrinityYGO  3 месяца назад +3

      Nibiru and any other handtrap is always dangerous, even for snake eyes!
      the problem is, that nib in general is really bad against yubel. if youre unlucky and you draw only nib - its not looking good. (or if the yubel player has squirmer in hand already and doesnt even use phantom to protects nightmare pain)
      and like you said : yubel can even put up another phantom after that (and dont forget throne can trigger if you use nib!)
      so in the worst case, yubel still has 1 Yubel monster, 1 Nib token and Phantom on the field. if samsara is in the GY - you STILL have to face a few negates + Floats and mabye handtraps while you yourself used 2 cards.
      so.. i dont really think its bad, it 100% will weaken the endboard but its also nothing that gives you the win!

    • @babrad
      @babrad 3 месяца назад +1

      It's very hard to bait Phantom with Ash, and probably mostly usable with Droll very early when for example Throne makes a Phantom then the only play in hand is Sacred Beast Engine. At this point it's better to use Veiler/Imperm on Phantom, then after it resolves use Nibiru while the Yubel player has uses Throne's float effect and they have 2 lvl10s + Sharvara on the board, preventing Chamber from getting value (going to Rage) and before Varudras becomes an option.
      But even this will still allow them to end on a Phantom pass.
      TLDR; Versus a good Yubel player is incredibly harder to make them end on nothing compared to Snakes etc, despite the deck having a "lower ceiling", because just like Unchained it's very resistant to handtraps once it starts rolling. And meanwhile just like Unchained, a single Ash on the very first thing can also be a turn ender. Very ironic.

    Good video and it’s interesting about your topic about board breakers which makes sense I would say droplet and evenly kinda destroys the board in mirror I might be wrong but also before phantom yubel super poly was so to use in mirror because my opponents would end up with a great board with yubel on the field I supernpoly and burn them. I think I realised maybe sometimes droll can kill your turn at the right if you opened meh 🫤. But I think also interesting you can play around evenly with escape or the unchained. Also keep up with the content I’m trying to become a good yubel player like you hopefully the best one haha but also appreciate for the comment you made during lede format which gave me strength but thanks 🙏🏾 and keep it positivity, last question I want to ask what other interactions we can do that is different sequence to break boards without bird breakers and win?

    I just managed to create a board where u end up on apollousa 2 counters gryphon lock phantom, rage in graveyard and super dora
    Explanation: Super Dora is a layer of protection for if you get hit with droplet. If he drops monsters so u cant activate super dora u chain 2 chamber to revive soul of rage and then u activate super dora since its a once per turn quick effect. So gryphon lock remains safe and sound and u still have phantom on field to protect it from attacking gryphon. Quite a strong board actually

    Thank you again for this video brother :) playing vs Yubel is… weird, going first you 100% know where to interrupt it if you make a decent board, going second it really depends on your build, i’m into board breaker right now and it’s a 50\50
    Pro tip: Escape is also good to beat droplet since you can pop your own rage and the droplet to let it fail (since it has to negate mandatory the number of monsters sent for cost) and then you reborn rage with Yama

    That locals story is something everyone upsettingly has been through, and for some reason it only happens when you're playing a deck you love and know very well (and win), but never when you're learning a new deck. I do have 2 ratio questions about the deck with Phantom now that I'm curious to hear other's opinions on.
    - What do you think of 2 Spirit of Yubels instead of 3? Phantom matters little in this question, but I keep going back and forth on 2-3 Yubels. 3 is nice, but I also feel I only need 2.
    - And now that we have Phantom, is you're opinion to still play 1 Yubel? In order to summon Yubel off of Phantom we'd need to use Varudras's negate before Phantom's, and I'd want to save our omni negate for a spell or something rather than a monster effect that Phantom should be able to take care of. Of course we don't need to summon Yubel off of Phantom/Spirit, besides having something for Pain, unless you're also playing Eternal Favorite to fuse the board. Is the power of keeping a Yubel on board worth playing a second copy? I feel people, even other Yubel players, underestimate the power of Nightmare Pain.
    If people want to play a minor Super Poly 'engine'. Playing a second Yubel to summon off of Phantom/Spirit and using Eternal Favorite to fuse the board might be the trick. Just 2 main deck includes in a 2nd Yubel and Eternal Favorite (2nd Yubel technically might not be necessary), and 1 spot for Loving Defender in the extra (which could be difficult).
    Though if you're going full blazes into Super Polymerization, then IDK, 2 copies of Favorite, 1 Chronicle with 2-3 Super Polys? Maybe 2 Chronicles if you really cope for Super Poly?
    I personally also just like having 2nd spell/trap search off of Spirit/Pain anyways if we already drew a card we'd search for, better in my opinion than a second copy of something we don't need. Chronicle is nice and I like the card, but if I had to pick only 1, then I'd go with Favorite (w/ and w/out Loving Defender). That reborn effect during the opponents turn is great, having an additional interaction or a way to turn on/back on Nightmare Pain's forced battle effect to me feels stronger than another extender with Chronicle, even if Chronicle can also pop stuff or recycle old cards.

      @@tyrikjohnson8541 If you make your typical board + Skill Drain, it's a huge "last line of defense" to prevent them from establishing anything. If you get handtrapped to death, Skill Drain on its own has the potential to hold out their turn.
      However in both cases, if they make the mistake to put a big body on the board (2700+) or you have a Squirmer in hand (Yama in GY), under Skill Dran you can just abuse Pain to its fullest by crashing Spirit + Yubel + Terror and immediately end the game. This can be very impactful if you allow them to play the game a bit, then freeze them with Skill Drain.
      Personally I'm not a big fan of Skill Drain after siding, because everyone thinks Evenly/Storm are really good against the deck, and I don't want to give them value. Instead I focus on the regular play (although I prefer Escape instead of Chamber) so that I can play not only around those cards but also DRNM while allowing DRNM to protect me for the turn. About your locals experience, if you see the player is worth the advice you should tell them the following:
    - Don't focus on the outs you could draw, but on the cards you did since only those were the ones that could make a difference.
    Having the perfect out is rare (the Tenpai experience), but misplaying with hands that could win is a lot more common. However, I can understand this wasn't your case. Personally, I just add fuel to the fire for such players by saying "I got very lucky", then move to "skill issue" and finally to "play a real deck" because such players aren't worth your time trying to explain stuff. Especially ones that start the game "oh you're the X-deck player....." or "This is a fake deck" etc then proceed to get 2-0ed and blame everything but themselves.

    • @babrad
      @babrad 3 месяца назад +1

      mini-story arc:
      I played against a Branded player with Unchained who was saying about how this matchup is free, fresh from a Nat/Regi win or top (I don't remember). Then proceeded to humble him with a shift OTK while "MJ would wipe me in the EP and he had so much follow the game was over" lol, then I sided for going first and he did make me go first. Then a couple of weeks later against Rescue, he was talking trash again, then I said to onlookers "see this card is the bait [Nib] and this card is the wincon [LS]" as soon as he started with Diabelstar, and I just Nibbed SP + Turb that got tagged out, then he used his entire hand to make another Turb to set 4 and I just wiped him on the following turn. He drew really well (got an Ash from Wanted) so I couldn't OTK but ended up losing to that same Nib. Then again I predicted he would put me first while "accidentally" dropping a Summon Limit to make me think I'm going second, I played around his Evenly and wrapped it up 2-0 again.
      His testing group said "Yubel is a fake deck" and with LeDe legal, luck had it that I faced 4 out of 6 of his testing group in a Regional wiping everyone. Then the following week since I had to leave for work, I went in that locals with HERO and went 4-1 because of time. But that loss was because some players (of that testing group) "needed to go" and we couldn't finish the proper time we had so we gave in the result earlier, but in the end despite using Eclipse on 4 monsters during BP (MJ, Quaeritis, Masquerade, Dragostapelia) where I had lost points due to Masq leading to the "loss", after giving in the result the opponent said "i win anyways" and i told him "no, it's check mate" and if he had 3 more minutes (clock was at 40 out of 45 anyway). Then i proceeded to OTK him by a 2nd Eclipse that was set and a Miracle fusion for 20+ materials on Wake that was also set by Wonder Driver.
      Some players aren't just worth the effort to try and help them.

      And about your experience : it really seems like everyone has some people like that, its kinda sad.

    • @babrad
      @babrad 3 месяца назад

      Now about Handtraps VS Yubel. Yama is always a magnet and imo a good point to interrupt but after the initial 3 weeks of LeDe where DBB was ignored, now everyone uses Veiler/Imperm on that to the point i don't remember resolving it. Nib for game 1 is fine if you can hold back your Veiler/Imperm and use it after Veiler/Imperm has already resolved on Phantom. Extremely risky play but it has immense payoff against a bad/average player, and reduces the end board at maximum a Phantom but if the opponent is greedy enough you can make them pass on nothing. However after siding it shouldn't be in the main. Cards like Ghost Ogre are better.
      About backrow hate, you SHOULDN'T tell them they are bad, let them be wrong just like with DBB, especially if they believe it so strongly. Personally for Evenly and Tenpai respectively i prefer Escape instead of Chamber, especially during game 1 where Bystials are rare, because this allows Yama to shine and Rage grabbing me followup like DBB or Spirit is highly appreciated. With Fiendsmith, even with Irae on the board, i have opted a lot of times to just eat DRNM in the face, then use Irae's "secret effect" so that i wont trigger something with destruction removal, grab back a fiendsmith then summon Rage to remove something without an effect and an additional card thanks to SP. Escape also saved me against Droplets sometimes, when the opponent gets greedy and goes for 3 making it not resolve properly.
      Finally about Super Poly, it's very good in Tenpai. None expects it, the field spell forces Phantom to use its effect earlier than normal, then when you summon Yubel the Tenpai player can eat the entire board (Apo/Varudras/Ceasar/Lotus/Irae/Gryphon. Hopefully this is very uncommon, but Tenpai can play with Fiendsmith and Super Poly as well making for some very weird gamestates (like LIGHT Chaos Angel thanks to Chundra + Fiendsmith).

    I need me some more MD strats. in Diamond and no matter what when I go VS Tearlaments I just cannot win, so so many duels VS them, try new things etc, just can't get the right stop on them at all. so many monster recycles no matter what I do.

    I was one who spread rummor to ash beacon beast so people can waste their ash forehead.
    Side note: I'm lying but I find it funny people do it so many times. I been using my beast as ash bait now

    The RB player having a go at you for his deck not giving him the cards he needed, bc that's clearly your fault, you cut his deck out of all his interrupts

    It's honestly soooo funny how some people get so heated over shiny cardboard. Like, if a card game is your whole life to the point where you're developing ulcers over it, you should find a different hobby lol
