I recently started playing this game on my PS5, was a free game for me. I struggled so much until I stumbled on your account. Slightly bummed that your last post was a year ago. But truly appreciate your vids, it helped a lot.

My ppl will starve even though I have the crops fully matured. They will not harvest to cook. I just started playing yesterday 🥹

I would add to also make your construct the same as handle/deliver, I had a massive house per built and my people were not building it, they gathered the wood and filled up my loader but wouldn't build haha

I have watched other streamers play this game, and they played the way I would...sort of reacting to situations and slowly moving toward the end goal. you attack this game like an Industrial engineer/efficiency expert tailoring the flow and the division of labor almost to the point of counting steps to save time/effort/energy. Your manufacturing system reminds me of the old "just in time" system that was in place back when I was in industry (I'm an old "boomer" who graduated college in the early 70's). This is a very interesting game to watch as it is very different style from most of the others. Keep up the good work and I will check out some of your other work.

What map?

I do not usually enjoy these games but I bought it for my steamdeck. Then I watched your series and it was so straightforward and understandable. I feel weird watching videos of other people playing video games but this series was a great weird. If that makes sense.

I found that adding a ceiling first before walls and roof speeds up get everyone out of the rain and weather. Then I can start build up the indoor furniture first and then before winter I make sure wall everything. Of course my bedrooms get walled in to get the bonus there. I'm currently experimenting with putting a storage next to production to cut down on running around time and I fill that storage first. not sure if it will make any difference.

Where did you get the improved wind"mills"? (sorry no native english speaker xD) from? Also I noticed depending on your starting colonists you have different research break throughs, is that correct and where to get them from if you miss one e.g. printing meat?

I picked two extra survivors I built bed rooms of three that seems work I got full time cook and researcher after got them under wooden roof

You never covered how to start growing food when you started. This guide is not good for starting in the first 2 weeks of landing.

How the hell did you manage to drag it out for the entire 16 minutes? :O That's a feat on it's own...

i played 200 hours. i have 3 cups left. good suggestions. my opinion, the right thing to do in defense is that they should not see you at the beginning of the attack. If they see you, they will come towards you without turning to the traps. from everywhere, from every direction. Let them start attacking, don't show yourself to them. Agro is very important in this game, hide if necessary :)

This helped a lot not only to better understand the priority #s system, but also hearing the details behind what means what as far as tasks. I just started playing and was wondering why the soldering stuff wasn’t getting done but the crafting table was, etc. The game should be more clear on which task falls under which column imo. I know it breaks some of it down on the activity tab but it leaves some things out.

if I put research station in Crista's private bedroom would she loose any bonuses?

Thank you so freaking much for these videos. I had no idea why the bugs kept attacking my undefended walls after trying to make my defense like other players I saw then you pointed out right away that they are after your people and will go where they are. I was using fortified wood walls at the time and figured bugs can't see over walls but I guess they are psychic and went right for my farmers near the wall. After making me aware of that I also copied your defense strategy and not one problem since. Would love to see your setup for the new jungle expansion. I discovered that the water is within 12-15 wood floors deep and you can build over a lot of the water making defense a breeze. Takes a lot of resources though and the floor process can be glitchy at times but well worth the end result. If you or anyone else know how to post PS5 videos to youtube let me know and I can link a short video of the base.

wtf thought this was about farming, why not just call it 'starter guide' instead, talk about farming for 1/5th the vid
