Great job! A few suggestions:
1. Build the entire 10x12 as a room with that tool. It automatically gives you foundation, walls, and roof. Then add a door (it auto adds your stairs). Then map out bedroom walls inside, just as you do your defense walls. Much easier than doing walls and roof separately. Adding everything else to your house is gravy.
2. Outside, early: Make a 2x2 structure of wooden shelters over your table and chairs. Build a 2 section shelf next to the table and set it to only cooked meals. On the other side of that, build a stove with raw food storage shelves around that. Makes for almost no movement for making and consuming meals. Super efficient. Use a similar, setup inside, once your building is ready.
3. Use insect meat to make oil for fuel, too. Fuel for flamethrower gets insect meat makes oil makes fuel for flamethrower (and balloon and generators).
4. Double-click on something to select nearby same items.
(See Silicon vs. Silicone comments on your other videos, please. Hehe)
Great suggestions. Yes I forgot to do the add door/add stairs. Usually do, good catch 👍. Makes sense on the building as well. Also forgot to put something over their table outside as well. Have done the shelving next to tables and cooking in other games. Not this one though. Trying to get a handle on talking and playing on here. Tend to forget or miss things while talking. I didn't use the insect meat in this because I didn't have a lot of cloth to spare and grain was fine, since I had other food sources. Will try to use the double click. Thanks for the good insights. Keep watching to see if my survivors survive.
that 4th door bothers me more than it should lol
I place the door like that for a reason. May shift the stove there when I add freezers and don't want to expand yet.
Great length, smart gameplay, binged the how-to and hard play series.
Thank you. Was worried about the length. New to this YouTubing. Glad you helped me with knowing the length was fine. Have lots more videos coming for the Hard Series. Keep binging. LOL.
Better than watching TV! Episode length etc: Just happy to watch 'em whatever the length - so make them to suit yourself...(i.e. you're good at looking after everything else, so make sure you look after Yourself too!). I appreciate your hard work!
Oh - and was wondering: Will you bother with the 'Romance' side of things? Does that actually help stat-boosting?
Appreciate you explaining your personal tactics
thank you. glad you enjoyed it.
loving the series. So efficient. Definitely using your build as an example for mine when I get the game.🤩
Thank you so much. Glad the series has helped you out. Definitely get the game. I know "early access" is a red flag for some people(myself included), but will be worth your $. Absolutely hooked on it.
I am enjoying this play through. Keep it up.
I use a very similar work flow for my team.
Emelin is good value I find so I nearly always choose her. I have just started using Nova instead of Ken and it is working well. I find Ken argues with almost everyone too often and it affects their happiness.
In my first play through I went through the whole winter without a house but they did all have coats on and I had a large shelter structure that had plenty of heaters. It was inefficient and since then I strive to build as early as possible for the comfort buffs. But it shows that they don't need a proper house to survive winter. The only trouble is I had to waste time making them stand near heaters to warm up during cold snaps.
I find the video quality perfectly fine and as for episodes I am happy with anything under 1 hour.
Glad you're enjoying the series. Nova is awesome. VERY reliable(no meltdowns). Yes, Ken is a pain to deal with just like Conner. They can survive winter outside that is true. Had them naked all winter in my first playthrough and they were fine. Lol
You can drag the traps to place multiple.
Video was done before the update that allowed that. Thanks for hint anyway
