I would just buy the bike by itself and use your batteries. Use any combo and you’ll be good. Every amp hour of battery gives you about a mile of range. The bikes hold 2 batteries in the main bay and are me extra in storage.

Once solid state batteries and pouch cells come out the range will nearly double.

I don’t, but by the tests I done it seems to equate to a minimum of 1 mile per AH of capacity. So a minimum of 24 miles on the 12 ah batteries is a reasonable expectation.

I ridden both, the EGO is far superior in quality. The Greenworks is a fun little bike, but it’s like comparing a Honda product to a Chinese knockoff.

@@Fix-it-tony That's the first negative comment I've heard on the build quality of the Greenworks machine so far. All the videos reviews I've watched think it's a wonderfully built bike...I prefer the EGO myself but mostly because of its looks, however I don't consider it worth $2K.

This is much faster than my fat tire Ebike’s. More suited to trail riding, different use. Also build quality is much better than most Ebike’s. Thanks for watching.

@@Fix-it-tony should try the aventon ebikes. They are great! I got 3k miles on my 500w motor with no maintenance done yet. Have yet to find a bike with range and quick acceleration like the sinch .1. Most ebikes need 750w to go 28 mph. Ps. Love your videos keep em coming!

Right but those chinese folding minifats have crappy parts. This is set up more like a Grom. Hydraulic brakes, 2kw output. Charging speed depends on how much you spend on charging hardware. I don't care about pedaling. It's not an ebike.

The worst case scenario is 1 mile per 1 AH of battery. So an 7.5 AH yields about 7.5 miles of range under hard use. So 2 7.5 ah battery gives you about 14-15 miles of range minimum.

It’s definitely not cheap, if you already have Ego batteries it’s a good deal. If you have to buy batteries there are competing bikes out there to look at. The bike averages 15-20 miles, I am going to do a video on range today.

You are talking about bootlegged versions of those batteries. They are quite hit or miss.

It’s well built, comfortable, and quiet of course. Steering is a bit strange feeling and unstable feeling at first because of the short wheel base. Range is 10-15 miles with two 7.5 ah batteries, but you can hide a third battery in the lockable box in the chassis. The bike can accept up to two 12 ah batteries for real range of 20-25 miles. If you already have Ego batteries this is a cool addition, but if you don’t, this bike may be an expensive way into getting on the Ego train.

Been noticing the longevity of these Ego cells is poor along with their recharge and discharge rates. Changing the cells would definitely yield a better battery. Really need to update these to a pouch cell, which I believe is in the works with Ego. My guess is sometime next year, but probably going to be expensive, but will drive down the cost of their legacy batteries.

@@Fix-it-tony No expert here, but thought pouch cells were proprietary? Replacing a non-standard form factor might get tricky (shape?). I've only seen them in RControl brick batteries. Tools I've seen have consistently been cylindrical. FWIW, pretty happy between chain saw and blower use of an EGO 5.0 a/h. Got 3 years out of it. Homeowner stuff, only.

Unfortunately it does not support WiFi, just Bluetooth. But you can set parameters to auto start when the house battery runs low or the temperature goes too high and kicks on the AC.
