Hi there. Can you explain the sharpie/buffing. I know I can use Sharpie for little scratches but not sure why the sharpie/ buffing is used if they are new straps. Thank you.

I have the same one, blue color. Very happy with it. I use only distilled water to avoid minerals buildup.

haha i was just about to suggest Harbor Freight. People dont talk enough about how much good stuff you can get there for crafts at a good price specially if you wait for those 30-40% coupons

If u buy the pack of white glue sticks and they are dried out...remove the sticks and put them in a jar or small zip bag and add only a little 50 or 70% alcohol...in a few days they will be reconstituted and ready to put back into the plastic tube case.

Interesting video. The only thing I disagree with you on a product is the glue stick. I have bought so many over time hoping to save money on them; only to find that they dry up too quickly and always end up being thrown away. I buy mine at either WM, Hobby Lobby or Michaels now. And they last.

I'm making a father Christmas coat with hunter green sheep leather as a shell, cotton batting as the insular liner and pure cotton black satin backed with linen as the actual liner. I'm using caramel colored wool-on sheepskin for the borders. When cutting fur, it's always best to use a knife.

That's sweet of you to repair his jeans! I'm dealing with a similar issue. My jeans have thinned in the front thigh area, and completely blown out where the knees are. I think I'm going to use doubled-up iron-on patches. One with the adhesive facing out, and another one on top of it adhesive facing in. I'll try to create a "floating" area with no attachment where the rip is, so when I bend my knee there's some give, but sew down the other areas of the patch. I'll do the cross hatching too. It seems just like ripstop. Maybe I'll even mix colors or something. I want to show off my mends, not hide them. Thanks! 😁
