As an owner of this watch, the singular miss was not allowing me to view a second time along with a home time simultaneously. The inability to stop the auto countdown without going to that mode is also strange, but I can live with it. Otherwise, it's flawless.

This watch is worth about $80. Casio is just trying to move upmarket with its peers. At that price modding a watch or paying someone else to do that becomes more viable and either way Casio still sells product.

I don't have a problem with the size but it would be better if it was thinner. This is a common thing with watches as the case size reduces.

I love the 34mm size, but hate faux patina lume. That's a deal breaker for me. If you're reading this, Thorn, please give us a BGW9, white lume option for the black dial models. Also, 12mm seems a bit thick for the size. What do you think, Simple Watch Talks? Does it seem disproportionately thick on wrist?

Thank you for your review. I think it is a nice looking watch and the price is certainly good. My experience with the PT5000 movement though would make this a no go for me. I have two watches with that movement and both failed within six months or less. From my research, there seems to be a consensus that said movement does not do well with hand winding. Both my watches got progressively harder to wind - and no I was not cranking on them or doing 30+ winds. Bottom line, I have two absolutely beautiful watches/dials that display the correct time twice per day. 😞 I am actively looking for a replacement movement that will fit within the cases and will attempt a replacement myself. One issue I am having is that both dials have the date window at the six o'clock position. If anyone has a suggestion/recommendation, feel free to share. 🙂

22mm lug width is off putting for me. Other than that looks great!!!

I have the negative display version and it is by far the most legible negative display in my collection that isn't MIP. I love the vibration alarm and hourly vibrations are much more preferred than a chirp that everyone can hear. If they made a Tough Solar Multiband 6 version, it would bankrupt me.

I cant remember if you mentioned this in the video or not, but clicking both the adjust and light button at the same time will switch the currently selected saved time zone (the T1, T2, T3, T4) to T1, making it the default time zone.

Nice. It is a Japanese edition watch but still big. I hate that modern watches are all oversized.

You can still buy Duro with marlin logo in the Amazon USA. Somehow Casio discontinued MDV-106 everywhere except the USA. And you are correct, original Marlin logo looks nicer and more appropriate than just this "WR 200" text.

Nope. Berny offers a much better value. For $50 Berny offers a TITANIUM MECHA QUARTZ SAPPHIRE 36mm watch.!. That’s right: lighter, more accurate, grab and go, and less expensive.

Shouldn’t the built in crown spring be fully compressed at 4:42? Because when the crown is fully screwed down, the spring is fully compressed correct? Seems like this measurement without compressing the crown spring would always give you a greater stem length than necessary.

Thank you for your video. It was well presented. You make it look easy. ;-) I've never built a watch but I am certainly interested in doing so. I have a beautiful watch whose movement (a PT5000) has died and I am thinking of getting a new movement that is comparable but more dependable and will also fit within the case. Why not make my first experience as difficult as possible, right? Taking those hands off the dial will be nerve-racking. 😲 May Karma always smile upon you.
