Correcting the steering of a robot with the orientation of a phone
Просмотров 2896 лет назад
The Xaxxon Oculus prime robot in this video is commanded by an android phone over wifi. The orientation of the Android phone corrects the steering of the robot. If the phone would be attached to the robot on a vertical wall, the robot could just navigate through an oil-tank without anybody steering the robot. This situation is reached by using wifi to connect ROS on the robot to python on the w...
Steering and controlling a Xaxxon Oculus Prime robot with the orientation of an Android Phone
Просмотров 6 тыс.6 лет назад
In this video a Xaxxon Oculus Prime robot is controlled by the orientation of an Android phone. The program is written in Python with help of multithreading. The commands run over wifi from the Android Phone to a windows 10 tablet and then to the Xubuntu-ROS-driven robot.
Simulating driving of a robot through an oil tank
Просмотров 8346 лет назад
Using the Xaxxon Oculus Prime robot to simulate the driving and correcting the path of a robot in an oil-tank. If this robot were to drive in a tank it would always correct it's path to drive straight up and straight down. The sensors of the phone are used as input for the steering of the robot, just attaching a phone to the robot would make the robot drive through a tank autonomously. An advan...
Robot Oculus prime SLAM Navigator running several ninety degree angles
Просмотров 6096 лет назад
This program in Python runs 14 perpendicular angles on the Oculus Prime SLAM Navigator robot (xaxxon technologies) with Telnet API-commands. But in the end the inaccuracy will add up. Next step of the project is to prevent inaccuracy by adding extra sensors to the robot.
Chapter 2 - Extra information on fixtures/restraints in SolidWorks Simulation
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.7 лет назад
This video shows how fixtures can be applied to a part in the best way to prevent stress concentrations due to the poisson's effect. This video also shows how to create a split-line on a cylindrical surface to create points that can be restrained in a FEM-analysis
Strength of the Eiffel tower
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.7 лет назад
In this video, a basic strength calculation of the Eiffel tower is performed. To keep it simple, just the core-frame of the Eiffel-tower is analysed. The calculation is done quickly, dimensions are roughly estimated based on pictures from the internet. The load is the weight of the Eiffel tower, which is 7.3 million kilograms. Most of the weight in the model in concentrated at the location of t...

  • @prakhars962

1:32 for which material this stress-strain curve is? It's looks like the material has very low modules of elasticity. Generally the initial slope for steel is almost 90 degrees.

Today I learn one thing from your video. From the equation of von Mises Stress, the bigger the magnitude between the 2 stresses, the higher the VMS. Which lead to high Shear stress, which lead to failure of steel

I see and understand your point/example under constant pressure/it being at the bottom of the ocean, it would deform and increase density but not fail as the failure plane has nowhere to go. Now, if you symmetrically pull a cube of whichever metal over it's three axis in an perfect isolated vaccum... you would eventually sublimate the material assuming it doesn't ever fail? Or am I wrong? What I mean is, how does that apply to tension?
