This audio file was recorded at the UNCF benefit 30th Anniversary "An Evening of Stars" 'Tribute To Patti LaBelle' that took place at the Kodak Theatre Los Angeles on Sept. 13, 2008.
Please excuse the screaming and yelling from "the peanut gallery"! When I recorded this, I didn't know we would be putting it out to the public, but of course, when I realized what extraordinary audio files I had (from the 'sweet spot' in the 2nd Tier Mezzanine!), I knew I had to share them.
Thanks to the talented & generous JoJo for creating the videos out of these audios from that concert!

Hi, I'm Lauri and I recorded this.. So glad you like it! The whole reason I posted it (and other great performances from that evening) was because everything was so edited for the TV broadcast, and no one else ever posted the full audios for every song.. Sorry for all our hootin' and hollerin' but we were just so blown away by what we were witnessing.. By the way, she was saying "I love you Patti" over and over.. Awesome.. (Tasia left her shoes on the stage at the end & went to hug Patti...)

Yeah, well I'm the one who did the recording, and I never intended to even share it with anyone except a friend who was there with me. If you click on "Show more" above, and read the Info Box, you'll see my comments explaining all of this, and my apology for all the background noise - If you had been there, I guarantee you that you would have been whooping and hollering too! It was a magical evening.. Hopefully u can ignore our noises and enjoy the fact that this recording even exists! :-)
