Mine doesnt make any sound when i blow into it does the bamboo need to be air tight with no splits at all ?
You need to present your trap better.
I came here for the comments
That's curly dock, also great emergency food, soak the seeds or leaves in water for 5 days to remove 38% of the oxalate acid and you're good to go.
I thought that was Amaranth the first time I saw it also. Amaranth is a July to September crop
Have you ever caught anything with that trap? Might want to bring lunch!
21:37 that trunk was considering it
I am sure it is a great trap, but please hold the camera still for at least 5 second of close up all parts of trap please. Thank you
Darn ! Need more close up of trigger - setting - working ---- less of the tree trunk.
How blunt is that saw😅
Sitka or Adirondack? 😅
Sitka spruce I believe THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
Red Spruce Thermally Aged. So yes Adirondack
A sharp knife would have been handy in this video.
When you show your cut stick as a demonstration please turn it so the camera picks up the angles from the side. Straight on they all look the same.
Left handed, nice guitar
The video is mirrored
Does yours have a fat round neck? I have an SJ-200 review on my channel, the neck is a tree trunk.
It says V shape but I can’t feel the difference between it and my aj45me Very comfortable THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
Do you mean amaranth?
Amazing love this kind of stuff
I haven’t heard anyone mention ARAMANTH but it was the primary food source for the Aztec. Interesting THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!
I could eat beaver all day long
It's more insane that there are houses in my town that aren't even 500 years old and they're like decrepit and basically just disintegrating into the ground. Yet this is fine
It’s an archeological recreation at town creek Indian mound. Archeologists showing how they lived. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
Your bread looks really good ❤
Thank you, I was surprised how good it turned out. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!! AND DONT FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE!!!
Thank you so much for showing us a easier way. I had always dreaded the thought of making sourdough bread but now I'll try it 😊
It’s actually very easy, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!
On what temp do you bake your sourdough bread...love your recipe...lovely bread...i thank you
@@lindaleroux4218 430 degrees for 30 minutes with the lid on. Then 20 minutes with the lid off. When the tip of the “cuts” turn brown take out of the oven take out and let cool for a couple of hours. Also it helps the starter develop if you place it outside during the day for a couple of hrs (Warm weather) THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
Years ago I drug a white rooster tail behind my canoe and caught 2 striped bass. One was big and I couldnt even get him in the boat. Looking good!
NOICE! Striped Bass hit hard when the bite. Looks like you’re doing well!
Yea he my inspiration for giving it a try! Take care!
That's cool!
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! Kids really love these flutes and I do as well. I went to a pow wow once and loved the sound of the native flute music. They wanted a lot of money for the flutes there , couldn’t afford it but, I learned to make the bamboo flute and it sounds just as good once you practice a bit.
Bundling up in the tarp is warm no doubt. A lot of cold nights with less than adequate gear can be supplemented with the old burrito wrap!
Used it many times for clients and for myself. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
We were driving down the highway in Yellowstone and my wife spotted a giant black wolf. It crossed the road right behind the truck like we werent even there.
Lucky!! Wolves are tough. Tried to get pictures many time both in Yellowstone and Denali to no avail. Tracked them for days. They smell you coming every time. THANKS FOR WATCHING!’
Ive been wanting to build one myself. One of these days im going to build a traditional bow. Im out west so finding quality wood is hard. Ive tried with Aspen and Cottonwood but no luck yet ha! Need some North Carolina Hickory!!
Haven’t had much luck making recurves. Have my Samick Sage that I love. but, have made lots of African Bushman’s Bows out of sourwood. Clay Hays is great and has some great videos on bow making. He’s a master Thanks for watching !!
Those tipi tents have changed the game across the board. Its a far cry from a blue tarp!
Yes sir. I still like a tarp , I can see my surroundings better, the tipis are great in winter. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
Great video man. Keep it up this is informative and useful. Ill subscribe and keep watching as I am doing a channel myself. Its Ted from working in the field. I wish people watching knew the experience you have and the stories you could tell. Good luck!
TED from SUWS or FCRC??? Great to hear from you. The watertight pack is a must for canoeing.
SUWS Ted! Good to connect man take care!
Lol, too funny, but sadly true
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
Cool demo. Glad to see so much water in Jordan. All the lakes up here in the mountains are way down. Subbed you.
Want to head to Fontana this summer a bit. (My favorite lake) THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
Never did it in an emergency but tipped my kayak on purpose to experience it....a floating pack is a life preservation device!!!! Nice
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
So they dont make it anymore , if thats the case take care of this one .....
They seem to have replaced it with the Tetrtra. I don’t know why, searched for complaints but found no negative reviews. The Tetra design looks slightly different but I have no complaints about the Smokey Hut. Very light weight, great for backpacking. I also have a mosquito net that they sell for it. Use it in warmer months on the coast in NC. Use it without the net in the mountains. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
@@GOINGWILD-ok3rz I don't like the square look of the tetra they made a couple of these small tipi lavvu shape tents but I found them too late
does that tarp cause a lot of condensation JD.
Not really, the outer layer you’ll get some I guess cause it interacts more with the cold outside air. Your clothing is dry when you emerge from the burrito. And the A frame over you still has plenty of air flow. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!
@@GOINGWILD-ok3rz Thanks JD great video..
Awesome content
Thanks for watching!
Nice bro
Thanks
That's how an ancient masters had been doing their work with no electricity and modern instruments. Proud of you man. I work with a wood lathe a long time but this is the first time I've seen that kind of lathe
Thanks it working great , solved the squeaky noise by loosening the “dead” center ( the bolt to the right) a bit.
Very therapeutic! I could watch the strop part all day
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
Thanks
YOUR WELCOME THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
I use an aquaquest 15x15 , set up as a 3 sided pyramid. Cept i keep the sides quite loose, so i can stake out the center to gain elbow room , after a hefty snow storm 28", in a 9x9 tarp , i turned around and bought a 15x15 , haven't regretted one bit since. Plan on buying the 12x12 and use both for a double wall 3 sided pyramid tent for winter camping
NOICE!!!! Aquaquest makes a great tarp !!! THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!!!!
Double walled tarp tents… damn you’re going pro
Wonder how you would set that up though
@@pedroclaro7822 naw, just don't like being cold when I don't have to be 🙃
being cold is more linked to sleeping gear... use stuff rated 10º bellow the minimum it's gonna be that night. I do that, and I still keep a body warmer pack inside, just in case I get cold during nighttime. Cold can be deadly. @@bkay1067
Must’ve been a different book. Not old yeller. Can’t remember the book the cane break /wild boar came from. Thought it was Old Yeller. Sorry about that!
I like that set bro. Up here in Canada. You would be covered in snow. Lol. In the morning. Just kidding. Nice clear video man. Cheers 🍻 Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
I’ve used it in the snow many times. If the snow is deep enough you create walls around the tarp (snow is a great insulator) actually keeps you warmer. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
OH AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Brilliant presentation bud 🔥🔥
I appreciate it. Checked out your channel. Love the photography. I’m your newest subscriber. THANKS FOR WATCHING !!!
These pictures were taken from a trip with my son. We used to go out and not take any food. I always told him he fishes better when he’s hungry.
JB - Thx for sharing. I look forward to seeing your camp site set-up with that One Tigris tent. Have a great day!!!
Coming soon THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
While in Vermont, during late August, I slept in a tent at 2,000 ft elevation. My sleeping bag was rated for 50 degrees. I wore extra clothing and had placed a tarp on top of the sleeping bag. The temperature got down to 45 degrees. I was cold but got some sleep. In the morning, the inside of the tarp was wet with condensation. It didn’t help to keep me warm. I since up graded my sleeping bag to a higher quality 20 degrees. Thanks for the info. Wishing you peace and good fortune. Happy Trails!
Thanks. At higher elevations you run the risk of dramatic and sudden weather changes even in summer I’ll cary a 30 degree bag to high elevations. I learned that lesson from an expedition where I was at 5,000ft in October and the temp dropped and a snowstorm hit. Lucky I had a 30degree bag but most of the clients brought summer bags so we had to improvise a tepee shelter we could make a fire in. We were snowed in for several days. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
Well I thought I wasn’t hungry while watching this but I am now.
Wanted to show the Coleman stove. It’s an oldie but a goodie. THANKS FOR WATCHING JOSH !!!
JB- Good looking breakfast. I'll take the same but with 2 over easy eggs!! Hey, do you recall where you got that fire pit grate that you're using like a table top?? I'd really like to get one for our fire pit. Thx much and have a great day!!!

@@GOINGWILD-ok3rz - Wow! I appreciate the very quick response and the info. Thx for your willingness to put info out there and for always keeping it real!
@@TheAngryChimp no worries it’s a great grate for the fire pit
