I found glue stick at the dollar store, exactly same size as what my gun uses - a Mastercraft glue gun - and the coordinating sticks that are sold with it and for it, I do have. I compared them to the dollar store ones and the only difference was the dollar store one was a bit more transparent. my glue gun only has one temperature, it turns on when I plug it in and that's all. Was it a mistake to use the dollar store glue sticks? the dollar store ones say they are for high or low or dual temperature guns. the size is the same 7/16. I did tip the gun backwards which I learned from you today not to do but of course it's too late. I was tired of the dripping so I made a cardboard stand to make it sit backwards so as not to drip. So it was like that for a LONG time. of course it's jammed now. I did remove what was in it and around it, but seems I have to open it up now. Any advice or a video to open and clean it? thank you!

should have watched this before I did just that! my gun was dripping glue so much I decided I will make a cardboard stand, and tipped it backwards. of course now it's jammed so I searched for help on you tube and found you. your videos are helpful, thank you. This is not helpful for avoiding blobs when you draw lines. Can you please change the title or at least clarify that those lines tip is only for straight lines when you can bend whatever it is you need a nice line for. This was not at all helpful as I need help drawing blobless lines on a canvas.

A thing I think you missed regarding layering is that you can have the grain go perpendicular to eachother and create a sheet that is about equally strong in both directions.

This could also be used to extend mini tripods a great deal. In fact, I am now envisioning adding a folding mechanism, which will allow you to basically turn a mini tripod into a proper full size tripod, mimicking almost perfectly the design and construction of professional full size tripods

That dremel isn’t really a fair comparison. The cheaper dremels might be a better choice to compare

Move to Imperial Valley California and just leave it in the daily 100 degree plus heat. It will dry easily and doesn't require use of electricity.

The best? There are others that are even better. Did you artificially limit this list to 4 or are you unaware of even better joints? If you'v ever seen a document box or file box, you probably should have noticed the tab on fold-over panels. Another joint better dovetails is a tab with 1 or 2 bent flanges, where the tab is larger than the slot and you cut into the tab to create 1 or 2 side tabs that fold down and slide into the slot like a key, then bend back up to full size to act as flanges to keep it from pulling out. This last joint was used extensively on a cardboard chest of drawers I got for college and have held for 30 years of frequent use.

Why use hot glue instead of a PVA glue?

This might be the dumbest idea ever, but I was wondering: what about inserting white glue withing the corrugated walls of the cardboard? Like, I'd have to add a little water to the white glue to make it less viscous, but after I insert and after it dries I think the cardbox is going to be mightily hardened. Have you tried this method or heard of it? Some care would be needed during the curing of the glue inside the cardbod, I know. But still.

Dremel yes, if you can afford it. A Ferarri, if you can afford it. For household use a cheapy will do. If it burns out, so what? buy another one.

I have like a weird certain blockage with my hot glue gun. The hot glue got pushed back and it created a blockage in the spot where you can see where the hot glue goes and it just takes a lot of force to get even a drop of hot glue out and I doubt that it’s going to make it any easier to put another glue stick in when it runs out.
