How about laser cutting cardboard? I have tried exacto knife and made a circle cutter but that only convinced me that I would need a better tool for precision cutting cardboard. Thats where a laser cutter makes sense but it also costs a lot.

Do you think is strong enough to cut double wall cardboard? Other question, Can you use it while it is charging? I have to make 200 boxes, and I am looking the best tool to cut double wall cardboard.
Thank you for the questions. When it comes to cutting double wall cardboard, this tool is not the best but it does it faster than a knife. The maximum cutting width of this tool is 0.25 in. So if the cardboard you're trying to cut is thicker than that it will not go very smoothly. I have not researched all of the available cutting tools, so it's possible you could find one that cuts through thicker cardboard. I will get back to you about whether or not it can be used while charging because I'm currently away from home. Have a blessed day. - Eli
I did not see a way to take off the bottom protector. If you did, I don't think the tool would cut through things very well. Most of the cutting action happens because the rotary blade pinches the material against the bottom protector. The blade actually doesn't spin very fast, so it wouldn't be able to cut through things in the same way that a rotary tool can. It also wouldn't be as safe, but you probably already are aware of that. Hope this helps, - Eli

Are you talking about something like a printable template for cutting a straight line?
Can we dismantle the bottom protector?
