    Favorite power tool is a toss up between the oscillating multi tool, and a rotary tool,of course. M12 rotary tool and M18 oscillating tool are my favs. Then again I love the angle grinder and die grinder too, super useful. And then there's ....Ugh we'll just say all power tools are my favorite!

    The button placement is just like you said - it’s not about the user experience as much as functionality. It’s tough to get all that crap into that tool. Favorite tool: (used to be into it stripped out and the company won’t respond) Rockwell mini saw

    If those diamond bits wouldn't even mark the glass then they were REALLY crappy bits,its nothing you were doing wrong they are the correct bit for glass. Cheaper rotary tools are awesome for having extra tools,and for beater tools, but when it comes to accessories there's no comparison to the quality of Dremel bits. They they just last so much longer, and are actually concentric when spinning

    • @MakerBrain
      @MakerBrain  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much for sharing this comment. I kind of wondered about that... The bits sort of just seemed like textured metal and probably didn't have any real abrasive material set in them. I should have gotten my Dremel bits out and compared them to see what a high quality bit could actually do.
      Thank you for sharing your expertise, Andrew!

    I know foredom is expensive. I have been looking around for their high torque micro rotary tool review.

    • @MakerBrain
      @MakerBrain  4 месяца назад +1

      Foredom is a cool brand and, like you said, a little pricey. But if you're going to use the tool a lot, I definitely think it would be worth it. They are so much smaller and more maneuverable than rotary tools that have the motor built in. Granted, you can always use a flex shaft but it isn't as seamless.
      I hope you find the tool you're looking for!
      Blessings, Eli

    Can you use DreMel accessories with it?

    • @MakerBrain
      @MakerBrain  Год назад

      That is a good question, it has been a while since I have tried to interchange the tools. If I recall correctly, the collets are not all the same size so the Dremel tools don't work unless you use the universal 3 jaw chuck from the Nurmaster tool. The 2nd thread attachments might fit, but I am not sure.
      I am sorry that I am not able to help you more, but I hope this helps.

    Dremel 4000 vs black & decker rt 18ka?
    The best??.

    • @MakerBrain
      @MakerBrain  Год назад +1

      Hmmm, that is a good question, Casique. I have never used the Black and Decker tool so I can't really give you an answer. But if you are super serious about power carving I would certainly recommend Dremel. If you only plan on using the tool every once and a while then you should probably go with a cheaper option like Black and Decker.

      @@MakerBrain dremel 4000 has 175 watts of power and starts from 5000 to 35,000 rpm. black & decker 125 whatts of power and starts from 0 to 35,000 rpm. I heard that black decker has problems with the flex shaft since it is off center. The technical service informs users that there are no black decker spare parts. I don't know if it's the machine or the people who mistreat it. I need you to give up the machine to use it frequently, taking precaution.

      @@MakerBrain I need it for everything. polish bronze and it looks like a mirror. brush metals, drill: glass, crystal, wood, metal. cut iron or aluminum, pipes etc. I read that when putting the flexible shaft the machine loses speed approximately 1500 and 2000 rpm.

    • @MakerBrain
      @MakerBrain  Год назад +1

      Hi Casique, I am not able to make a decision for you, but I have really enjoyed my Dremel and I think that it would be a great opinion for you if you are going to do so much with it. There are some different options from Dremel that might be better for you with a flex shaft. Of course, if you are on a super tight budget then you will have to go with a cheaper brand but they probably won't last you as long.
      I wish you the best of luck!

I think its currently going for $24. but it has never been $40.
