I've had my '08 Cooper S for 6 years and about 60k miles and its been far more reliable than I expected. There are 3 big things to improve the life of a Mini: 1. Regular oil changes (3-5k miles, not the 10k Mini tells you). 2. Reduce heat. These things run at 220⁰F. Open up that hood scoop, heat shield the turbo, and use your max air button to bring those coolant temps down. 3. If a metal replacement exists for a part that was plastic from the factory, replace it. Plastic doesn't like repeated heat cycling, especially 220⁰ highs and sub freezing lows.

I am currently using 200cel downpipe for n18 right now. Will catless downpipe be much louder than 200cel?

The n14 is a chocolate teapot but the r56 and r53 chassis's are the best drivers cars for cheap available anywhere, if your good with a wrench there should be no worries to be honest. I'm still k swapping mine though

The four spots have made any pedestrian safety systems totally redundant. I'm surprised if it will pass safety inspections like that. Nice mods though. Best r56 mod is to buy an r50, lol

Liked you video though recently I decided to go for an r56 2.0 cooper sd for the fun and the top end torque and power when I get it remapped along with better mpg. Currently getting 48-50 around town sometimes a bit more

I have the r61 model, when you changed your downpipes did you get it tuned? I changed mine and it has an a error code with the o2 sensor before catlytic.

Just got myself a 2015 cooper s coupe with 70k miles. I waisted no time to modify the crap out of it. I got a cold air intake, high flow downpipe bigger intercooler waiting for my coilovers I ordered, and it has a stage2 tune. The guy I take my car to says that it makes about 280hp. Honestly, it feels more like 300hp. I want to get a bigger turbo, but he advised against it, saying it's too much for my motor to handle. I'm going to get a second opinion.

ive had a few instances where the rear has been thrown out on my jcw. mostly think it was road condition tho. and then one time when braking from 120mph but when i was low speed again it kinda threw out a little. (was a car going 20mph up ahead. and we were 5 cars doing about 120 at the time.)
